We will visit the town of the painters, roses and the Thracian kings â Kazanlak. Originating from the neolith and bronze epoch the town was developed fully during V-IV b.c. as a Thracian town Sevastopolis which is covered from the waters of Koprinka reservoir now. We could not forget to visit one of the twelve unique Thracian tombs in the region called Kazanlak Tomb and become acquainted with the Thracian style of living. The wall-paintings in the tomb are scenes from the military and peaceful life of the buried Thracian ruler which are with unusually artistic value.
The region is famous with the growing of the oil-bearing rose which brought fame to Bulgaria around the world. It was carried from India passing through Persia, Syria and Turkey. We will visit the Museum of Rose which is situated in the center of the town and included in the list of UNESCO. There we will get known with the history of the Bulgarian rose and the people who grow it up. Our adventure will finish with visit of the ETHNOGRAPHIC COMPLEX the TOWER where we will sink in the fragrance of the roses in both flower gardens.
