Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1:
Welcome at the Intl. Airport and transfer to Antigua
⢠Dinner & accommodation at Hotel Las Farolas or similar.
Day 2
THE BEST OF ANTIGUA: From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
After breakfast, departs from the hotel to Antigua Guatemala to visit Main Square, The Cathedral, San Francisco El Grande Church, The Convent of Capuchinas, Hotel Museum Casa Santo Domingo, some jade and silver factory ending at 1:00 p.m.
⢠Free time for lunch
SURROUNDINGS TOWNS OF ANTIGUA: (From 2:30 to 6:00 p.m.)
Continuing this trip to visit: San Juan del Obispo and its Monastery of Bishop MarroquÃn, San Pedro Las Huertas and its public fountain/laundry, Ciudad Vieja it was the 2nd Capital of Guatemalan Kingdom, San Antonio Aguas Calientes, famous for its textiles, Macadamia Nut Farm, ending the trip in your hotel.
⢠Dinner & accommodation at Hotel Las Farolas or similar.
Day 3
LAKE ATITLAN: (From 8:00 a.m)
Departs from the hotel to the highlands, a stop is contemplate for breakfast) and at 10:30 a.m. arrives to Panajachel, main town in front of Lake Atitlán where you will take a boat ride through the Lake, visiting Santiago Atitlán, San Antonio & Santa Catarina Palopó.
Return to Panajachel.
Rest of the day free by yourself.

Day 4
Day 4: (Market Days only Thursday & Sunday)
After breakfast, departs to the famous open air Market of Chichicastenango and its Church Santo Tomás.
Free time for lunch and at 4:00 p.m. return direct to Guatemala City.

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
