Itinerary

Day 1

December 3rd: Individual flights arrive by 2:00 pm and the group will be transferred to Selva Verde. Evening presentations about the rain forest and digital photography. Overnight at Selva Verde Lodge (D).

Day 2

December 4th: Day spent photographing different aspects of the rain forest.
 Morning bird photography
 Visit to La Selva Biological Station. Owned by the Organization for Tropical Studies, station researchers have been monitoring this rain forest for over 40 years.
 After lunch depart for Puerto Viejo for town photography
 Boat ride on the Sarapiqui River for wildlife and rain forest photography
Evening presentations about better photography.

Day 3

December 5th: Day of rain forest wildlife and waterfall photography.
 Early bird photography
 Travel to La Paz Waterfall Gardens, spending most of the day here with lunch. Chances to photograph butterflies, hummingbirds and four outstanding waterfalls throughout the park.
 Evening frog photography
Overnight at Selva Verde Lodge (BLD)

Day 4

December 6th: Into the depths of the rain forest.
 Morning hike in the primary rain forest of Selva Verde's 500 acre reserve
 Afternoon free for people to work on images and exploring on own
 Evening show of group photos

Day 5

December 7th:
 Early shooting
Departure for San Jose airport after breakfast.
Departing flights need to be later than 1:00 p.m.

Those staying for the cloud forest workshop will remain with the bus while others depart. They will visit the La Garita area, with lunch at Delicias del Maiz. There are gardens and nurseries in the area, providing good photo opportunities. If taking both programs, participants will receive a $100 discount off total.
