Join our budget Kathmandu to Lhasa overland group join in tour. Departure every Saturdays/Tuesdays March to December. Starts with an early morning drive from Kathmandu and enter Zangmu and drive on towards Tingri, Shigatse, Gyantse and Lhasa.

Day 1

Day 01: Kathmandu - Nyalam
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Nepal/Tibet border at Kodari. After customs formalities drive to Zangmu for entry into Tibet/China. Continue to Nyalam. Guest House (b/b).

Tours start from Kathmandu, Nepal with an overland journey to Lhasa, Tibet.
Participants have to arrive Kathmandu 2 days before tour start date.
Private tours for minimum of 2 persons are also available on request.

Also during the monsoon season the Arniko Highway linking Nepal-Tibet border is often disrupted by landslides. Additional porter or transport charges incurred due to such road disruptions will have to be borne by the clients' themselves.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.

Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
