Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1 Drive north of Chiang Mai and first visit an orchid farm with a huge display of Thailand's best known flowers. Then drive further north towards Mae Taeng for approx 1½hrs to the start of our trek. We trek through the hills of Northern Thailand enjoying our scenic route through the area of the Mae Taeng valley and uphill to a hilltribe village and waterfall. Hiking is for approx. 2½hrs to a Lahu village and a waterfall nearby. Overnight in the Lahu hilltribe village. (L,D)

Day 2

Day 2 On the second day walk for approx. 1½hrs to the elephant camp and ride on the elephants for 1hr. Then on to the start of the rafting trip. Take the whitewater rafting trip for approx. 45mins. Enjoy the thrill of passing through the rapids; rafting stretches of the river not passable on the normal bamboo rafts. Pick up from the end point and drive back to Chiang Mai which takes approx. 1½hrs. (B,L)

This is a private trek and includes hiking, elephant riding and white water rafting in the two days.
It is a fairly easy trek to a scenic area, staying in a Lahu village. Good for those who want a variety and to try the whitewater rafting adventure
