Itinerary

Day 1

From the Klong Toey pier which is our meeting point (please contact us for your information if you don't know), we will board on boat with bicycle to another side of the bank leaving Bangkok's skyscraper scenes behind. Then we will start a biking in the area called Bang Ka Jao in Samutprakarn province.


A trail will lead to the lively floating market (opens on weekends only). The road is quite narrow but enjoyable as there are no many cars to be worried about. It's a paved surface that easy for everyone but we will also ride through the villagers' orchards which are paths elevated above canals below. These routes need a double care since it's very narrow and steep but you will find its excitement and enjoyment. If the tour operates on weekend, we will pause shortly at the floating market where you can sample tropical fruits from local orchards and various Thai deserts. Then we will go on our ride though the narrow paths again but aside the river passing though local villages, school and temples. Yes, we will as well stop at some points of interests. Our guide will introduce and explain the rural life and history.




What is the cycling like?

Around 20 kilometers through villages and orchards, still offers a great scene from the Chao Phraya River. Cultural background from all walks of life also will be seen along the way. A cycling needs a little skill but can not be careless at all. Suitable for biker ages up than 12 years though



What else is there to do?

Apart from cycling, you will have a chance to sample tropical fruits and Thai desert at the floating market called “Bang Nam Pheung floating market” (available only on weekend). Visiting incense workshop and see how they made it manually (subject to date of operating). Visit a public park, enjoy fish feeding and ride to a little off-road path for bird watching

Start at 10:00 A.M and leave around 02:00 P.M. Time can be flexible and changeable for a private tour. Operating the tour required 2 persons minimum. The condition of the road is 80% a paved surface. Also please note that this cycling tour included guide, hi-spec mountain bike and helmet rental, insurance, drinking water and ferry boat across the river.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.

Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
