Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Seoul.Arrive in Seoul at Inchoen International Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transfer to your hotel. The balance of the day is free for your own leisure time or rest.
Overnight at local 4 star Hamilton Hotel in Seoul.If you arrive in Seoul on other dates with pre-extension booking, transfer is not provided. In case you have pre-extension booking at Hamilton Hotel, please take a airport limousine bus to Hamilton Hotel from bus stop 5A or 11B. Please look for bus with sign “Hannamdong” and prepare cash KRW14,000 per person (as of Jan.2009). The bus is available every 10-15 minutes from 04:15am until 21:00pm

Day 2

Seoul City TourAfter breakfast, start a morning tour of the city of Seoul, including National Museum of Korea, Changdeokgung Palace / Secret Garden and Seoul Tower on Mt. Namsan for a bird's eye view of Metropolitan city of Seoul. Return to the hotel by 3:00 pm. Overnight in Seoul.

Day 3

Seoul / Korean Folk Village / Mt. Songnisan Nat'l Park / DaeguBreakfast at the hotel. Pick-up from the hotel in Seoul confirmed for each departure. Check-out and transfer to Korean Folk Village outside of Seoul, where the old traditional style houses and life style of 18th-19th century are being practiced by people living in the village. Proceed to Mt. Songnisan Nat'l Park and Beopjusa Temple. Afterward, dirve to Daegu via express way. Overnight at local lower 5star Daegu Grand Hotel in Daegu

Day 4

Daegu Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Gyeongju. Upon arrival in Gyeongju, an afternoon tour of Gyeongju includes Chomsongdae Astronmic Observatory, Royal Tumuli Park, and Bulguksa Temple. Overnight at local 5star Kolon Hotel in Gyeongju.

Day 5

GyeongjuAfter breakfast, start your full day tour of Gyeongju by visiting Seogguram Grotto, 4 face Buddha, Gwaeneung Royal Tomb, Scenic drive tour to Guryongpo Port. Drive along the sea for beautiful coastal scenery. Return to Gyeongju. Overnight in Gyeongju.

Day 6

Gyeongju / BusanAfter breakfast, transfer to Unmoonsa Temple (Buddhist Nun's temple). Proceed to Busan for city tour. Busan Tower, Jagalchi Fish Market, Nampodong Street. Overnight at local 4 star Busan Tourist Hotel in Busan.

Day 7

Busan / Haeinsa Temple / Andong / Chungjuho LakeAfter breakfast, transfer to Mt. Gayasan National Park via expressway. In Mt. Gayasan National Park, visit Haeinsa Temple. Haeinsa Temple has a world famous Korean cultural treasure called Tripikata Koreana, which was made during the Goryo Dynasty to protect the country from the invasion of Mongolian troops by Buddha's power. This Tripitaka Koreana was designated by UNESCO as World heritage.Proceed to Andong, 2 hours away from Haeinsa. Andong is the best preserved village with its traditional style noble houses. In 1999, Queen Elisabeth II visited Hahoe Village and was welcomed with Birthday Party Table decorated in Korean traditional way. Hahoe Village in Andong is famous for its own mask dance. Proceed to Chungjuho (or Cheongpung) Lake.Overnight at local 4 star Cheongpoong Lake Hotel.

Day 8

Chungjuho Lake / Gangneung / Samshasa Temple-Temple stay Program After breakfast, take a ride on Sightseeing Boat for lakeside scenery. (In Winter season, boat tour is subject to weather condition. If lake is frozen, boat tour will be cancelled.) Transfer to Seorak via Gangneung. In Gangneung, visit Chamsori Gramophone & Audio Museum. This museum boasts itself with incredible collection of 19thy Century gramophones and 1st generation audio systems. Proceed to Mt. Doota for unique temple stay experience at Samwhasa Temple. Upon arrival at the temple, change your cloth to temple uniform prepared by the temple. Orientation for various things to know for staying at the temple regarding regulations and schedule. Attend evening ceremony of bell-ringing, evening chanting mass and Meditation course. For one night, you will not have phone and TV in your private Korean traditional style room. Shower room and toilet are sharing one. No alcohol is allowed at temple. Accommodation is based on 2 person to a room.
Overnight at Temple.

Day 9

Seoraksan National park Tour with DMZ Tour Wake up at 3 am for morning worship (for volunteers only). After breakfast, transfer to DMZ Unification Prayer Observatory at demarcation line at Easy Coast for a very close view of North Korea. Drive o Mt. Seroraksan National Park for cable car ride to Gwonkeumseong Fortress and visit Sinheunsa Temple. You will have a chance to enjoy hot spring swimming or sauna at Waterpia Spa Park at your own expense. Return to the hotel on your own payment by taxi after enjoying the best water park of Korea until you are satisfied. In Winter season, ski resort visit can be arranged based on your own expense for ski gear rental fee and lift fee. Alps Ski Resort is 40 minutes drive from your hotel.

Day 10

Mt. Seoraksan National Park / SeoulAfter breakfast, transfer to Gapyeong to visit The Garden of Morning Calm Flower and Tree Park, which displays unique Korean Wild Flowers and trees in a garden located in mountain valley. (* For tours in the months of Jan. to April, Nov. to Dec. visit Yangpyeong Filming Studio with all the movie sets instead of flower park as flowers are not blooming enough in the months.) Transfer to Seoul After check-in at hotel you will have your own independent activities or shopping at Itaewon Shopping District where is very well known to Foreign visitors and touristas as shopping paradise for bargain hunting. Overnight at local 4 star Hamilton Hotel in Seoul.

Day 11

Seoul After breakfast, check-out. No transfer is provided. End of tourAirport Limousine bus is departing every 10-15 minutes at the bus stop in front of the Hamilton Hotel. Taxi fare to Incheon Airport is about KRW55,000-60,000 plus one way toll fee KRW7,400 (as of Jan. 2009)
