Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in UB in the 10 th of July, 2007. And transfer to the vegetarian hostel. In the afternoon after lunch you will have sight seeing program in Ulaanbaatar including Gandan monastery, which is the largest and most significant monastery in Mongolia, Mongolian Natural History museum, the Winter Palace of the last Mongolian Bogd Lama king and the preparation of Naadam festival. Dinner will be at local restaurant. Overnight in the hostel.

Day 2

11 July. Opening Ceremony of Naadam at the Central Stadium. In the afternoon we will visit the open stadium to witness the archery competition. Later we will see the finals of the horse racing. Overnight in the vegetarian hostel.

Day 3

Trip to Khogno khaan mountain/Elsen tasarkhai.Enjoy the tranquil and beautiful environment, wildlife, flora and fauna of Khogno khaan area. Optional: horse riding, walking , hiking trekking. Overnight in ger.

Day 4

Drive to Khar Khorin City

The symbolic ruin of Khar Khorin, the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire in the 13 th century and visit the Erdene Zuu monastery which is situated in the vast valley of the Orkhon river, the second lagest river in Mongolia. Erdene Zuu, built on the ruin of Khar Khorin in 1586, was the first Buddhist center. Overnight in ger.

Day 5

Drive to Khustai National park
Visit the ger museum and seeing the wild horses Przewalski ?Takhi. Overnight in ger.

Day 6

Drive to Bayanchamdman. Optional: horse riding, walking , hiking trekking. Overnight in our ger camp.

Day 7

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city after lunch. Visit the Mongolian History museum and shopping. See a traditional folklore concert by the best Mongolian ensemble.

Dinner will be in the local restaurants. Overnight in the Vegetarian hostel.

Day 8

Transfer to the airport for international departures after breakfast.
