Itinerary

Day 1

Depart from Pakse or Ubon if requested. Ascend up to the Bolaven Plateau.

The Plateau is an area of stunning natural beauty with an abundance of waterfalls and ethnic villages. See Tad Fan and Tad Yuang Waterfall before heading to Tad Paxuam and then Tad Lo where you will spend the night in Bungalow's overlooking this remarakable waterfall(L,D).

Day 2

Take and early morning walk and even an elephant ride before having lunch. After lunch head to the town of Attapeu (B,L).

Day 3

Visit the ethnic village of Ban Mai. Here we will be able to trek for a few hours and take a wonderfull boat trip on the Xe Pian River to see the pristine forest and watch out for bird and wildlifeand along the river before returning to Attapeu (B,L,D).

Day 4

Attapeu is one of the most isolated and rugged regions in Laos with a wide variety of colourful wildlife and ethnic villages. Due to being along the Ho Chi Minh Trail and suffering heavy bombing during the Vietnam war, there is a large number of artifacts left over from the war.

Visit the UXO museum before heading to Pa-am for a brief stop to see the surface-to-air missile launcher before continuing to the Attapeu border and the world heritage city of Hoi An in Vietnam (B,L).

Day 5

Enjoy a day of cycling around this city(B,L).

Day 6

Transfer for your onward connections or spend a further day in this beautiful city (B,L).
