Nearly all of the mountain lakes in the Tien-Shan are the result of earthquakes and the Big Almaty Lake is the largest of them. Many places there are perfect for hiking, bird-watching,camping, etc

Itinerary
Day 1
Meeting with your guide & driver in Almaty. 50 km trip away from Almaty city along the Big Almaty Gorge & the Ile Alatau National Park. There you will see the eternal snow peaks, glaciers, mountain rivers, the great Tien-Shan Christmas furtrees which grow just in Kazakhstan, the Big Almaty peak and certainly the biggest & the most beautiful mountain lake of the Tien-Shan ! There you will have a walking tour, admiring the fresh air, snow peaks, green pastures and alpine meadows and of course the mountain silence. Later on you will come back to Almaty city.

- The price for the Big Almaty Lake (130$) is given just for 1 person but minimum 2 persons are required for the tour and it will be 260$ for everything, this tour can be also arranged for 1 person but in this case it will be 260$ total for the tour.
