Starting from Manali, this trek winds through the famous Solang Valley. The trail then goes via Dhundi and Bakartach to enter the Beas Kund glacier to enter the birth place of river Beas.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Solang Valley Camp Retreat. Day at leisure for acclimatization.

Day 2

Manali - Dhundi (3150m) by jeep
Duration: 1 hour

Drive from Manali will pass through Solang Nullah, famous for paragliding in summers and skiing in winters. From Solang, the road follows the Beas river to Dhundhi, the end of the road. The camp is a small walk away. Don't miss the first glimpse of the majestic Hanuman Tibba from the campsite.

Day 3

Dhundi - Bhakartach (3300m)
Duration: 3 hours

Gradually ascending from the valley, the trail continues to the scenic campsite at Bakartach.

Day 4

Bhakartach - Beas Kund (3650m) - Bhakartach
Duration: 5 hours

Trek over morraine to the small lake at Beas Kund, the birth place of the river Beas. After spending some time at Beas Kund, trace the path back to Bakartach

Day 5

Bhakartach - Dhundi and drive back to Solang Valley
Duration: 3 hours

The trek ends at Dhundhi from where a vehicle will pick you up and drop you back in Solang Valley
