Itinerary

Day 1

Day 01 : Arrival Shimla, the former Summer capital of British India. Check into your palace hotel. Shimla unfolds nature's generous bounty in the form of awesome snow ranges that hold oak & rhododendron forests.
A walk down the infamous Shimla mall , by all means the best mall road which is a center now of all hill stations in India.
All visitors to Shimla inevitably walk down the Mall, the main promenade that runs along the top of the ridge - a busy shopping area with old colonial buildings , souvenir shops and restaurants. At the top end of the Mall is Scandal Point, a large open square with a view of the town - a favorite rendezvous for visitors and the local people. Overlooking it is the elegant Christ Church with its fine stained glass windows. The labyrinth of Shimla's bazaars spill over the edge of the Mall.
Visit the Viceregal Lodge, the state museum & Jakhu hills.
Housed in the Gothic splendor of the Viceregal Lodge is the Indian Institute of Advanced studies, India's premier academy for higher research.
Very close to the Institute, in a colonial building set in spacious lawns, is the museum. It has collections of Pahari miniatures, stone sculpture, local handicrafts, textiles and embroidery.

The steep climb to Jakhoo Hill, Shimla's highest point, is rewarding for superb views of the town and its surroundings. At the top is an old Hanuman temple.

Day 2

Day 02 : Post breakfast visit to Chail. Chail was created by the Maharaja of Patiala as a summer capital after his expulsion from Shimla. Set in 75 acres of land including orchards, tennis courts & cottages, Chail Palace makes for a perfect setting for a Royal luncheon , enjoying splendid views. Later take a nature walk along the thick deodar forests. Also visit the worlds highest cricket ground built here in 1893.

Later embark on an exciting excursion to Kufri, which is a 30-minute drive from Shimla. It is a tiny hill station, famous for its trekking and hiking trails. Adventure-seeking travelers flock to Kufri in winters to enjoy skiing and tobogganing along its snow-covered slopes. Kufri is also famous for its nature parks and picnic spots. Kufri's proximity to Shimla makes it an important place on the tourist circuit of the state. Also visit the Indira Gandhi Holiday Home and Fagu. Explore the nature trails and visit fruit orchards.
Evening return to Shimla.

Day 3

Day 03 : Post breakfast visit Mashobra & Naldhera.
About 11 kms from Shimla, the small village of Mashobra has some pleasant walks, including one to Sipi, where there is a fair and a wooden temple dedicated to Shiva.
15 kms further north, at an altitude of 2050m, Naldehra is a pleasant little village. It is mostly famous for having one of the oldest and highest golf courses in India. There is even a temple, the Mahunag Mandir, in the middle of the course.
Visit the hot sulphur springs at Tattapani.
Return to Shimla in the evening.
Explore the mall for souvenir shopping.

Day 4

Day 04 : Shimla / Manali : Post breakfast drive to Manali ( 6 hrs) Arrival at the Solang Valley Camp Retreat, 13 kms uphill drive from The Manali Mall & check into your deluxe tents.
After freshening up & a sumptuous breakfast gear up for a trekking expedition to The Anjani Mahadev Natural Shivling : 4 hours.This trek takes you past the Solang meadow into a wide expanse alongside river Beas to the most ethereal & mystical of all experiences. The Shvling here is made naturally by snow ( in winter months) & in summers has a grand waterfall falling over it thus making the parikrama as holy & sublime as possible.
Return for lunch at the campsite.
Time at leisure to explore the picturesque island below the camp & laze around on the hammocks for a while.
Evening bonfire & games & dinner at the camp retreat.

Day 5

DAY 05 : PARAGLIDING, ZORBING ,NIGHT TREKKING TO THE HAUNTED HOUSE & ADVENTURE CAMPING

Post breakfast get set for the dare to fly high , where eagles dare or a simple dare devil aero sport of Paragliding with your pilots. Fly high after taking off from almost 10,000 feet high cliff & landing at the Solang Valley meadows.
Post lunch enjoy the sport of Zorbing which involves one to be strapped inside a huge transparent ball & rolled off the grass meadows.
Early supper as we gear up for a night trek to the haunted house in the village. We leave the confines of our elegant camp retreat also , to camp by the meadow in adventure tents, complete with sleeping bags et all for the night !

Day 6

DAY 06 : ROCK CLIMBING , RAPPELLING, RIVER CROSSING & TREK TO THE WATERFALL

Post breakfast indulge in sporty activities like rock climbing, river crossing & rappelling with your trained instructors.
Post lunch after a little relaxation off to the lovely trek to the Solang Waterfall. We cross the river 3 times, followed by a steep climb to the Picturesque Solang Village. From here on it's a steep climb with lovely views of the valley some 11,000 feet below to the hidden Solang Waterfall.The adventurous one can take a bath at the natural plunge pool of the water bed. Dinner , bonfire & games at the Solang Valley Camp Retreat.

Day 7

DAY 07 : SNOW SPORTS DAY : SNOW SKIING, SNOW TUBE MOBLING, SNOW SCOOTER RIDES, SNOW MAN MAKING, SNOW SLEDGING
Note : Snow activities will take place at Rohtang Pass in summers & at Solang Valley in winters

Full day of snow sports starting with snow skiing with instructors who regularly represent our country in the winter Olympics.
Later snow scooter rides to amazing heights where one can see the other side of the valley : Lahaul.
Snow tube mobling & snow sledging follows.
Evening return to the Camp Retreat. Dinner & overnight at Solang.
