Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Dibrugarh
Meeting upon arrival and transfer to the heritage tea garden bungalow.
Evening free at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at Bungalow.
Day 2
Dibrugarh
Morning after an leisurely breakfast drive to Chabua.
Chabua: (Cha :Boa in Assamese means Tea Planting) In 1837 Chabua was selected as a suitable area for planting.
Evening visit to a traditional Assamese village to witness the folk dances
(Optional: Enjoy a evening bone fire dinner)
Dinner and overnight at Bungalow.
Day 3
Dibrugarh / Digboi / Tai Phakail / Dibrugarh (115 Kms, one way)
Morning after breakfast drive to Digboi.
Digboi: Digboi have the oldest operating & second oldest oil field in the world and Digboi refinery became a centenarian in 2001. Oil was struck in Digboi long before it was found in Middle East. Along with the coalmines and Tea Estates it is richest area in entire North-Eastern Region.
Visit the Digboi Oil Museum and the World War Cemetery.
Later depart for the Tai Phakail village
Tai Phakail Village: Appx 56kms which dates back to XVI century, the Tai Phakial village - an ethnic village, of the kith and kin of the Ahoms who ruled Assam for 600 years and who still maintaining their age old culture.
Drive back to Dibrugarh.

Day 4
Dibrugarh / Jorhat (150 Kms, 3 hrs drive)
Morning after an leisurely breakfast depart by same car for Jorhat.
Jorhat: JORHAT or JOREHAUT means two hats or mandis-Macharhat and Chowkihat which existed on the two different banks of the river Bhogdoi during the 18th Century, Jorhat was the last capital of the Ahom Kingdom. In the year 1794 the Ahom king Gaurinath shifted the capital from Sibsagar (erst-while Rangpur) to Jorhat. This town was a flourishing and commercial metropolis but completely destroyed after a series of the Burmese invasions since 1817 till the arrival of the British force in the year 1824 under the Stewardship of David Scott and Captain Richard.
There are about 135 Tea Gardens including out gardens and the predominant field crop is rice with per capita food grain production of 205 Kg per annum.
Arrive and check in at the heritage tea garden Bungalow.
Afternoon visit the Jorhat Gymkhana, the oldest planter's club in Assam.
The Jorhat Gymkhana Club : It began as a place of recreation for bored British tea-planters, but after 120 years it is vying for a place in the prestigious list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.
The Jorhat Gymkhana Club boasts of an impressive accomplishment: it has the world's third oldest golf course. It has a huge 18-hole golf course and a unique tradition of annual pony racing popularly known as the Jorhat Race. The first plane ever in the North-East landed in its grounds in 1928, and the first jeep in Assam was also displayed at the club's ground.
If the claim is successful, Jorhat Gymkhana Club will be the third among other World Heritage Sites in the state after the Kaziranga National Park and the Manas National Park.
The club's ground that spans an area of 180 bighas has been tended well over the years. It also hosted the Tea Tourism Festival in 2002, and several foreign dignitaries and tourists went back hugely impressed.

Day 5
Jorhat
Morning after breakfast full day tea garden tour visiting the Sensua Tea Estate.
Visit the tea factory to witness the black tea processing including withering, fermenting and drying.
Later attend a special tea testing session.

Day 6
Jorhat / Sivasaghar / Jorhat (50 Kms, one way 1 hr drive)
Morning after breakfast depart for an excursion to Shivasagar, the ancient capital of Assam.
Sivasagar: Sibsagar was once the capital of the Ahom rulers who dominated Assam for more than 600 years. They ruled Assam virtually uninterrupted for 6 centuries until their kingdom fell to the British, in 1826.
In Sivasagar visit:
Talatal Ghar: The historical monuments were built by King Rudra Singha during 1696 / 1714 AD was a military station of the Ahom King. Is has been seven storied palace having three storied under ground known as Talatal Ghar and the upper storied known as Kareng ghar.
Rang Ghar: This amphitheatre was built by King Pramatta Singha. The Two storied oval shape pavilion is one of the largest of its kind.
Charaideo: That was the first Capital of the Ahom King which means a glittering town on the top of the hill.
If time permits visit the Shiva Daul
Shiva Daul: This regarded as one of the highest Shiva Temple in India built by Queen Ambika in 1734
Later drive back to Jorhat.
Dinner and overnight at Bungalow.
Day 7
Jorhat
Morning after breakfast day free at leisure.
(Optional: You can enjoy the golf in Estate owned golf course or ee shall organise a visit to the manager's Banglow. )
Evening enjoy the traditional assamese cultural show at the Bungalow.

Day 8
Jorhat / Majuli (30 kms, 1 hr drive with 2 hrs ferry ride)
Morning after breakfast depart by car for Majuli. Enroute crossing mighty Brahmaputra River by ferry.
Majuli: Tucked in the mighty Brahmputra, Majuli is the world's largest river island. Majuli is known the world over in academic circles for the Satras (monastery), which have preserved the Vaisnavite culture. There are islands within islands in Majuli. The crops are sowed and they blossom. The people staying here know how to swim and row a boat even before they walk and talk. The island's beauty is its changing colours.
Arrive and check in at the traditionally built cottages.
Afternoon explore Majuli visiting the Satras, the birth place of Vaishnavite culture in Assam and the tribal villages. Evening visit to a nearby sand beach in Brahmaputra to witness the sunset.
Dinner and overnight at the resort.
Day 9
Majuli / Kaziranga (110 Kms, 4 hrs drive with 2 hrs ferry ride)
Morning after an early breakfast depart for Kaziranga.
Arrive Kaziranga and check in at the jungle resort.
Kaziranga National Park: The oldest park in Assam, Kaziranga, on the south bank of the Brahmaputra River, is world famous for its great Indian one : horned rhinoceros, of which there are aplenty. Spread across 430 sq kms, it is a dazzling mosaic of dense rain forest, tall elephant grass and swathes of reeds interspersed with vast tracts of marshes and shallow pools that are a favourite haunt of this celebraty pre-historic beast. Wild elephant, hog deerand barasingha also abound. Book in advance for at least a night's stay at the forest lodge to catch those early morning views of him from elephant back. Jeep safaris are also arranged. En route enjoy the beautiful tea estates of Assam.
Arrive Kaziranga and check in at the Jungle Resort.
Late Afternoon Jeep Safari in one of the range.
Evening enjoy the colourful folk dances of Assam in the hotel.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 10
Kaziranga
Early morning enjoy the elephant safari in the Bagori (western) range of Kaziranga.
Later return to the Resort for breakfast.
Afternoon Jeep Safari in the Kohora (Central) range of the park.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 11
Kaziranga / Guwahati departs (255 kms, 5 hrs drive) or Jorhat departs (100 kms, 2 hrs drive)
Morning after an early / packed breakfast depart for Guwahati / Jorhat airport to connect the flight for onward destination.
