Itinerary
Day 1
You are welcomed on arrival at Kochi or Calicut International Airport / Trichur Railway Station by Saroma representative.
Drive to Athirapally Water falls. The Chalakudy River plunges down 80ft transforming it into an extraordinary billow of white froth.
Check in to your hotel at Guruvayoor. Guruvayoor is the most famous Krishna Temple in South India. Night stay at Guruvayoor including a Kerala traditional meal.
Note : Visit to Guruvayoor can be replaced with any other visit within the area based on the guest's preference. Please contact your Saroma holiday consultant
Day 2
This morning you will start your journey towards North of Kerala and drive to Beypore.
Beypore for centuries has been a famous shipbuilding centre. It's Uru (huge long boats which was the main mode of transportation especially to Arab countries in olden days), the country craft built by traditional shipbuilders known as Khalasis, still has a huge market and continues to attract Middle Eastern buyers from across the Arabian Sea.
Enjoy the sunset at Kappad Beach, the place where Vasco da Gama first landed in India.
Night stay at a traditional Kerala home
Day 3
Enjoy a live performance of “kalaripayattu”( the oldest martial art), early in the morning followed by a visit to Bekal Fort - the largest and best-preserved fort in Kerala.
The other attractive activities lined up for the day include Boat Ride at Parassini Kadavu, visit to Muzhappilangad drive in beach - Only drive-in beach in Asia and enjoy the live performance of Theyyam (the ritual dance which is unique to this part of Kerala).
Enjoy an outdoor dinner, under the star lit sky and with a bonfire to keep you warm.
Continue your stay at the traditional Kerala home for the night
Day 4
We start with a guided tour to the high ranges of Northern Kerala, Wayanad- the green paradise- one of the most picturesque mountain districts of Kerala. Visit Banasura Sagar Dam - the largest Earth Dam in Asia. The topography here is such that when the dam is full, it leads to the formation of many islands in the upstream of the dam. The sight of these islands against the backdrop of the Banasura hill is spectacular and breathtaking.
Night stay at a resort in the high ranges situated in Kalpetta one of the main town of Wayanad district. This is the right place to enjoy a relaxing Kerala Ayurvedic massage
Day 5
A day earmarked for indulging in the pleasures of the wild life of Wayanad beginning with a vist to Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary - Tholpetty. Enjoy the flora and fauna as you travel by specially arranged vehicle through the rainforests.
Visit to Edakkal Caves: It is only a cleft about 96ft long and 22ft wide in the rock. It is a fissure made by a corner of rock splitting off from the main body as a result of some natural phenomena. The depth of both the cleft and the fissure is 30 ft. It appears to be a cave to the ordinary observer due to the fact that an enormous rock, weighing several tones, has fallen over the cleft forming a roof over a large part of it. The rock wall contains some interesting carvings, which represent human and animal figures and objects of human use and symbols.
Night stay at resort in high ranges of Wayanad
Day 6
The exploration of this relatively unexplored part of Kerala and of the wilderness continues.
Chembra peak, the highest hill in Wayanad, is near Meppady town. Trekking to the top of this peak takes almost a day. Tourists can also camp for one or two days at the top of the peak in temporary camps.
Pookote Lake: A picturesque natural formation amidst the dense forests. Enjoy boating in the calm waters of this lake.
Soochippara Water falls: The stretches of waterfalls ranging from 100 to 300 feet height are a treat to the eyes. The pool below provides for water rafting, swimming, bathing, etc. The tree top huts at Soochippara give a unique view of the valleys of the Western Ghats and the glimmering shallow waters of the surrounding springs.
Night stay at a resort in Vythiri
Day 7
Based on your itinerary, you will be leaving this spice coast today. You will be escorted to Kochi or Calicut International Airport / Railway Station.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
