Combined cultural and adventure travel program in Georgia: journey to the main sights, cycling tour to Kakheti and trekking to Borjomi - Kharagauli National Park.
Itinerary
Day 1
Meeting and accommodation at Georgian House Hotel, Tbilisi Tour: Sameba Cathedral, Abanotubani, Narikala fortress, Metekhi Church, Museum of History, Anchiskhati, Museum of Ethnography. Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 2
Breakfast and drive to East Georgia - Kakheti region: David Garedja walking tour and picnic, visit Town Sighnaghi and city-tour, Bodbe Monastery. Dinner and stay overnight at the Vazisubani village house.
Day 3
Breakfast and cycling tour in Kakheti region along the Caucasus Mountains to medieval castle of Gremi, Nekresi Monastery complex, picnic and cycling to Telavi, visit the City Centre and Bazaar (food market). Return to Vazisubani, dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4
Departure to health resort Borjomi, on the way visit Mtskheta (declared as UNESCO world heritage): Jvari historical-architectural complex, Svetitskhoveli cathedral, arrival in Borjomi and tasting of Borjomi world known Georgian mineral water from the spring. Stay overnight in Borjomi Olymp Hotel.
Day 5
Breakfast, full day trekking in Borjomi - Kharagauli national park, picnic. Evening: City Tour and walk in the park, stay overnight in Borjomi (camping extension for adventure travellers).
Day 6
Second day of trekking in Borjomi - Kharagauli national park, evening visit Bakuriani ski resort.
Day 7
Breakfast, drive to Cave City Vardzia, picnic at Vardzia and drive to Tbilisi, dinner at Restaurant Tamada with national food, wine and live music, overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 8
Breakfast, free day for shopping, visit sulphur bath and transfer to the airport for departure.
