Day 2
Day 2 August 03, 2008 â Shanghai
As the largest and most prosperous city in the nation, Shanghai is the economic, financial and cultural center of China, while Beijing is the political heart. Shanghai is a modern and fast paced city, rich in history and culture and with a wealth of areas and sites just waiting to be explored. One of the nicest aspects of Shanghai is that the crowds here are much more manageable than in a city like Beijing. This is largely because there are no great ancient sites which people flock to. Upon arrival you are welcomed by your YTB/Spring Tour English Speaking tour guide and transferred to your luxury hotel. After your trans-pacific voyage, it is a pleasure to settle in to your luxury accommodations.

Day 4
Day 4 August 05, 2008 â Shanghai - Hangzhou
Today you will drive to Hangzhou. There's a Chinese saying that goes "up there is heaven, down here is Suzhou and Hangzhou.â The first Westerner to visit Hangzhou, Marco Polo, marveled at its beauty. At the end of the 13th century, he described Hangzhou as "the City of Heaven, the most beautiful and magnificent in the world." The West Lake is undoubtedly the most renowned feature of Hangzhou, noted for the scenic beauty that blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites. In this scenic area, there are many places to visit and you will visit the very famous Buddhism temple where you will find it in a long, narrow valley between Fei Lai Feng (Peak flown from Afar) and North Peak to the northwest of the West Lake. The temple is without doubt a premier showpiece in the West Lake environs and is notable also as one of the ten most famous Buddhist temples of China. And the rest of the time in the afternoon will visit Su Di Area of West Lake where you can see beautiful views of the West Lake.

Longjing is divided into seven grades: Superior, Special, and then 1 down to 5. Like most other Chinese green tea, Longjing tea leaves are pan fried to stop the fermentation process. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
