| Day 1 - Set off for the Gun Galuut Nature Reserve, 130 km (81 miles) east of Ulan Bator. Upon arrival at a tourist camp, check in to your ger, the traditional dwelling of the Mongols. After lunch, visit the Gun Galuut Nature Reserve. Optional are watching Argali – Wild Sheep, horse riding, fishing, rare birds watching, visit to a local nomadic family, kayaking, hiking. Fishing gears, kayaks and binoculars are available for rent at the camp. For dinner, have horhog, the authentic Mongolian barbeque cooked with stones. | | Day 2 - After breakfast at the camp, depart for Ulan Bator. |

Gun Galuut Nature Reserve
The Stunning Gun Galuut is a home to a number of rare and endangered species including Argali-the Wild Sheep, the Snow Crane, the White-Napped Crane, the Hooded Crane, the Swan Goose, etc. The nature reserve was established in order to conserve the rare species and the delicate ecosystem of the Herlen River Basin. The Herlen River is one of the richest rivers in Mongolia with its 38 species of fishes. Come and encounter the Taimen, the Lenok, the River Perch and many more on the great fishery.
