Itinerary

Day 1

Set off for the Blue Lake Camp, 210 km (130 miles) from Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival at the camp, check in to your ger, the traditional dwelling of the Mongols. Visit Tsenhermandal Village, which lies amongst the mountains covered with pine trees. Take a leisurely stroll. You will have dinner and stay overnight at the camp.

Day 2

Depart for Binder Village, where you will tour the Binder Ovoo and other historical sites related to Genghis Khan, including the place where the Great Mongolian State was founded. Visitors also go to see a sacred tree, which it is believed can make their wishes come true. The area has two-thousand-year-old graves of the Huns, the ancestors of the Mongols. Stay overnight at the Chinggisiin Toonot Tourist Camp.

Day 3

Return to Ulan Bator.
