Itinerary

Day 1

Depart from Kota Kinabalu from shuttle points towards Kinabalu National Park, which takes about 2 hours by road.
At the park, visit the park’s Mountain (botanical) Garden. At 1,800 meters it is home to some of the rare and endemic flora of Borneo, which offers intrigue to nature lovers. The Nature Gallery at the park offers some insight to conservation and research work done by Sabah Parks
Thereafter, depart for Kundasang which is about 7 km away. In Kundasang, visitors have an opportunity to purchase local produce and observe daily local economic activities or simply mingle around.
A visit to Kinabalu Park is not complete without a trip to Poring Hot Springs (about 45 minutes ride).Poring offers you an experience of being in a high humidity low-land forest.
At Poring, try the canopy walkway, amidst the Menggaris trees, and admire the view of the rainforest from a different angle. Along your walk to the canopy, take note of the dipterocarp trees and the rest of the low-land undergrowth. The canopy walkway is 41 m high and 157.8 m long was built for research purposes as well as a form of recreation to the public. Optionally take a quick dip in the hot spring pool which is believed to possess medicinal effect.
After a short rest, transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. During the journey back, relax and enjoy the scenic view of Crocker Range as evening approaches or just take a good nap.
