ITINERARY
Day 1 - 01 Day/Wed Delhi-Jaipur Board the Palace on Wheels for the regal journey of a lifetime.
Day 2 - 02 Day/Thu Jaipur-Jaisalmer Morning visit Amber Fort. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur also known as "The Pink City of Rajasthan". Visit Jantar Mantar Observatory; the City Palace and Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds. Depart for Jaisalmer
Day 3 - 03 Day/Fri Jaisalmer-Jodhpur Morning visit Jaisalmer’s magnificent havelis or merchant's houses, each richly decorated and carved from golden yellow sandstone - Patwon-ki-haveli (House of the Brocade Merchants), Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli and Gadhi Sagar Tank. Afternoon proceed to the sand dunes on camel to view the sunset. Enjoy dinner and the cultural programme before departing for Jodhpur.
Day 4 - 04 Day/Sat Jodhpur-Sawai Madhopur Morning visit the majestic Meherangarh Fort and Mandor, the ancient capital of the State of Marwar. The cenotaphs of the former rulers are imposing and architecturally remarkable. Depart for Sawai Madhopur
Day 5 - 05 Day/Sun Sawai Madhopur-Chittaurgarh-Udaipur Early morning game viewing in the Ranthambhore wildlife sanctuary by jeeps. Thereafter depart for sightseeing of Chittaurgarh, the centre of Rajput resistance against Mughal rule. The Rajput warriors on many occasions gave their lives preferring death to dishonour and surrender. Evening depart for Udaipur.
Day 6 - 06 Day/Mon Udaipur – Bharatpur Morning proceed for sightseeing of the one of the most romantic cities in the world, Udaipur. Visit the City Palace, the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari Gardens, Jagdish Temple and the local folk museum. Depart for Bharatpur.
Day 7 - 07 Day/Tue Bharatpur – Agra – Delhi Upon arrival, proceed to Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary, former hunting preserve of the royal family of Bharatpur, the sanctuary is home to more than 250 different bird species. After breakfast at the Forest Lodge drive to Fatehpur Sikri. Afternoon sightseeing tour of the most perfect architectural monument in the world -The Taj Mahal. Later depart for Delhi
Day 8 - 08 Day/Wed Arrive Delhi After farewell breakfast on board disembark the train.
