Day 1 - Delhi
Welcome to Delhi and transfer to the hotel for your overnight stay.
| Day 2 - Delhi sightseeing
A full day of sightseeing, accompanied by an experienced guide, to see the monuments, mosques, temples and markets of the Indian Capital.
| Day 3 - Delhi / Mandawa (260 Km, 6 to 7.5 hours journey)
Leave Delhi after breakfast and drive towards the desert. The scenery slowly becomes drier and a night will be spent at the hotel in Mandawa.
| Day 4 - Mandawa / Biakner (210 Km, 5 to 6 hours journey)
An early start by road from Mandawa towards the desert partially walled town of Bikaner. This is definitely camel country and Bikaner is situated on the great caravan routes which once linked Africa to West Asia. Just outside Biakner there will be the opportunity to visit Deshnok temple full of holy rats. Then onwards to hotel where an overnight stay will be made.
| Day 5 - Bikaner / Jaisalmer (300 Km, 7 to 8 hours journey)
Breakfast at the hotel and continue for the long drive to Jaisalmer. The local villages are beautifully decorated. The villagers wear brightly coloured costumes and the men sport their red turbans, proudly. The high ramparts of Jaisalmer can be seen from a distance and a two night stay at the hotel.
| Day 6 - Jaisalmer
Today there will be a guided visit inside the ramparts. The intricately built merchants’ homes ‘havelies’ and the small atmospheric temples and winding streets remind one of fairy tales long forgotten. A drive out further into the desert has been arranged for some camel riding as the sun sets in the west. Return to the Hotel as the light faces.
| Day 7 - Jaisalmer / Jodhpur (250 Km, 5.5 to 6.5 hours journey)
Leave this morning for the renowned town of Jodhpur. Upon arrival a half day visit around the town is included to see the magnificent Mehrangarh fort and its surrounding blue houses. Later a special shopping visit to the famous handicrafts stores rich with carpets, textiles, shawls, woodwork, furniture and iron artifacts.
| Day 8 - Jodhpur/Udaipur (270 Km, 6 to 7 hours journey)
After breakfast on through the changing scenery to the farming area of Aravalli hills, past oxen-driven wells and villages of white houses with delicate frescoes on their walls to Udaipur for a two night stay.
| Day 9 - Udaipur
A visit to Udaipur city and an accompanied walking tour of the Bazaar will be included.
| Day 10 - Udaipur / Pushkar (265 Km, 6 to 7 hours journey)
After breakfast drive to Pushkar. Upon arrival check into the Hotel. In the evening visit Brahma temple and Pushkar Lake. Overnight at the Hotel.
| Day 11 - Pushkar / Jaipur (150 Km, 3 to 4 hours journey)
After an early breakfast leave Pushkar for the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur. Upon arrival check into the hotel and in the evening visit Chowki Dhani, where you can enjoy Rajasthani Dinner and Traditional folk dances . Overnight at the Hotel.
| Day 12 - Jaipur
In the morning drive out to the castle of Amber. A tour of Jaipur is included in the afternoon including the actual Maharajas City Palace, the Observatory and the unusual façade of the Palace of the Winds. Overnight at the Hotel.
| Day 13 - Jaipur / Agra (200 Km, 4 to 5.5 hours journey)
Leave Jaipur this morning by road passing the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri to Agra. Visit Agra fort and the baby Taj upon arrival to Agra. Overnight at the hotel.
| Day 14 - Agra Delhi (210 Km, 5 to 6 hours journey)
After breakfast we include the highlight of the tour, a visit to see the impressive Taj Mahal and Sikandra Fort. Leave Agra in the afternoon by road for Delhi. Upon arrival check into the hotel.
| Day 15 - Delhi
The day at leisure. In the evening transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
