| Day 1 - Flight to India (New Delhi)
Around midnight arrival in New Delhi. The cosmopolitan city and capital New Delhi is the main gateway for the travellers to India. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel. |
| Day 2 - New Delhi
This day is at leisure either to have sightseeing in Delhi or for relaxation. |
| Day 3 - New Delhi - Manali
In the morning after breakfast drive straight to reach Manali. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel. Manali is situated near the end of the valley on the National Highway leading to Leh. The landscape here is breath taking. One can see spectacular views of well-defined snowcapped peaks and wooded slopes. The Beas River rushes along its rocky course amid grassy meadows carpeted with wild flowers and wagtails hop along from stone to stone along the stream's edge. On the other side are deodar and pine trees, tiny fields and fruit orchards. It is an excellent place for a holiday, a favorite resort for trekkers to various regions in Kashmir valley. It is known as the Switzerland of India. In the evening we have sightseeing in Manali. We will visit Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashisht Hot Water Spring, Naggar castle and Arjun cave. |
| Day 4 - Manali - Marrhi (36 km)
Today we will begin our mountain trekking from Manali. From Manali we will trek towards Rallah Falls. We have lunch at Kothi. Then we trek towards Marrhi. Arrive in Marrhi by evening. We will spend night in Marrhi. |
| Day 5 - Marrhi - Rohtang Pass - Batal
Today in the morning after having our breakfast we leave Marrhi. From Marrhi we will trek towards Gondla. We will also cross Rohtang Pass, which is situated at a height of 3980 m. Rohtang Pass is an adventurer's dream destination, situated at an altitude of about 4000 m. This pass is the gateway to the Lahual region from Manali. A trek to and beyond the pass makes a trekker's dream come true. Also, we could find a couple of stud farmers and their beautiful pets grazing through the lush green meadows. At the top of the Pass the air seems to glitter against the snow as we look down over herringboned ridges into the Lahaul Valley. There is a beautiful Doshohar Lake left to the pass, where pilgrims go every year on the auspicious day of 20th Bhadon. This is the only access to Lahaul valley. We have lunch at Gondla. Then we trek towards Batal. Arrive in Batal by evening. Batal is situated at the foot of Kunzum pass, which provides the main approach to Spiti from Lahaul. The panorama as viewed from the top of the pass is enthralling and inspiring. On the way are the Bara Shigri glaciers. Bara meaning big and Shigri meaning glacier in Lahauli dialect. The view of the Shigri Stream emerging from beneath a huge iridescent archway of solid ice is a never to be forgotten sight. The glacier is mountainous mass of solid ice, more than a kilometer wide and extending over a distance of ten kilometers. We will spend night in Batal. |
| Day 6 - Batal - Kunzam Pass - Chandratal
Today in the morning after having our breakfast we leave Batal. Then we will gear up to trek 10 km uphill to cross the famous Kunzam Pass (4551 m). Kunzam provides chief access to Lahaul valley by the great Kunzam range. The lofty Shigri Glacier can be seen in all its grandeur. The Panorama as viewed from the top of the Pass is enthralling and inspiring. There is a temple dedicated to Kali, known as Kunzam Devi. Rahul was the son of Buddha and the name Lahaul is derived from Rahul. After visiting the temple we start trekking 12 km to Chandratal. A pleasant 4 hrs walk and the Chandratal will appear. Chandratal means the Lake of Moon. This lake of exquisite beauty is set on a large meadow of edelweiss between a lower ridge and the main Kunzum range with an outlet into the Chandra River. A beautiful view of the Samudra Tapoo glacier and of Mulkila range is obtainable. A majestic serene lake surrounded by mighty Himalayan peaks. On the banks of this enchanting lake there is a vast meadow, which is carpeted with hundreds of kinds of wild alpine flowers during spring season. |
| Day 7 - Chandratal - Kunzam Pass
Today in the morning after having our breakfast we leave Chandratal and start our trekking again to return back to Kunzam Pass. Evening free for leisure and relaxation. |
| Day 8 - Kunzam Pass - Manali
Today in the morning after having our breakfast we leave Kunzam Pass and drive back to Manali. Evening free to explore the local market. |
| Day 9 - Manali - New Delhi
In the morning after having our breakfast we will drive to New Delhi. Evening free at leisure. After having dinner we leave the hotel for the airport.
