Itinerary
Day 1
Livingstone - Zambia. Joining day
Day 2
Livingstone - visit Victoria Falls + Zambesi River
Day 3
Livingstone - Sunset Cruise on the Zambesi*
Day 4
Livingstone - walk with Rhinos in the Mosi-O-Tunya National Park, whiate water raft etc*
Day 5
Today we leave Livingstone, driving through the Mosi-O-Tunya National Park en route to Kasane, Botswana, the gateway to Chobe National Park.
Day 6
This morning, we enjoy your included game drive safari in Chobe National Park followed by an afternoon sunset cruise on the Chobe River. During the heat of the day you are able to relax by the pool. Wildlife is plentiful in Chobe particularly elephant, lion, buffalo, plains game, hippo and crocodile. The birdlife, which can be seen and photographed on our boat cruise, is also spectacular.
Day 7
We leave Chobe en route for Nata and the Makgadikgadi Pans. Botswana is a huge country, about the size of France, but virtually dead flat and home to only one million people. Over the past fifty years it has gone from being an unwanted poor relation to the rest of the continent, to becoming one of Africa's most wealthy and stable countries. Here you may take the option of an exploratory drive onto these vast salt pans.
Day 8
From Nata we head for Maun the gateway to the Okavango Delta
Day 9
This morning we depart Maun in our four wheel drive vehicles for the Okavango Delta. The delta is essentially a depression in the Earth's surface covered in desert sand, where a huge river pours in, fans out and eventually ceases to flow. A giant marshland has been created at this inland delta, which is scattered with palm trees, islands, papyrus-lined channels and a wealth of flora and fauna. We travel by âMokoroâ âtraditional wooden dug-out canoe and camp on an island taking time out to simply relax and enjoy being amongst nature.
Day 10
Okavango Delta - Photographers should take plenty of film. Birdlife here is exceptional; there are literally hundreds of different species. Look for the electric blue plumage of the lilac breasted roller, bright crimson of the carmine bee-eaters, the tiny jewel-like malachite kingfisher and the African jacana, who stalk about on the lily-pads, as they feed on insects. You might even spot some elephants on one of your game walks.
Day 11
Okavango Delta - After 2 nights bush camping in the Delta we pack up camp and take the dugouts back to town.It is possible to take an optional flight over the Delta which provides a vastly different perspective on this natural wonder.
Day 12
Leaving Maun & Botswana we cross into Namibia at the remote border post of Buitepos. Namibia only gained independence from South Africa in 1990 and is still settling into self-rule and planning for a future which looks very positive. It is a stable, peaceful nation with a population of 1.3 million. This is made up of an interesting mix of Germans(who also colonized Namibia),South Africans, San Bushmen, Herero, Ovambo, Nama and other tribal groups. San Bushmen are typically small in stature with weatherworn faces. They are believed to carry some of the oldest genetic material of all humans.
Day 13
We make our way to the nation's capital â Windhoek (where our tour ends). With its blend of German colonial architecture and modern buildings and on the streets the eye-catching Herero women who traditionally wear huge Victorian-style dresses and a distinctive headdress. This colourful mode of dress was adapted by the cattle-herding tribe from the clothes worn by the wives of early missionaries. Be sure to ask politely before you take a photograph!
Day 14

Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers.
