Go off the beaten track and experience the undiscovered East! Marvel at the romantic Sipi Falls, cool off with a natural shower and overlook the Karamojong plains, stretching till the far horizon.
Itinerary
Day 1
KAMPALA : SIPI FALLS
From Kampala we depart to the unknown eastern part of the country. Passing Jinja and Iganga we drive towards Tororo, situated at the border with Kenya. From here you can observe the Tororo Rock, a prominent rock that rises 300 metres above de surrounding plaines. We continue to Mbale, a charming town at the foot of the Mount Elgon. This area is full of rich heritage and fascinating culture. We will have lunch stop in Mbale and with beautiful viewpoints on our way we will reach the Sipi village, nestled between mountains and waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at Crow's Nest.
Day 2
SIPI FALLS
Today you will enjoy a hike to the lovely Sipi Falls. It is a beautiful walk to the bottom of the famous waterfall, then continue with a steep climb to a series of caves. As you follow the trail to the other two waterfalls, you will pass maize fields, banana plantations and typical African bandas. Cool off with a natural shower and enjoy the breathtaking views over the valley!
At the end of the day your strains will be rewarded with a magnificent sunset. Relax as the sun spreads its final ray of lights over de plains of Eastern Uganda! Dinner and overnight at Crow's Nest.
Day 3
MOUNT ELGON NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we drive to the Mount Elgon Forest Exploration Centre. Mount Elgon is an extinct volcano, situated on the border with Kenya. With 4321 meters of altitude it is the fourth highest mountain in East Africa and the second highest peak in Uganda.
A day hike will allow you to explore the diverse mountain forest. There are two different trails to choose from, passing clear waterfalls, mysterious caves and spectacular viewpoints. It is a paradise for bird lovers, as about 300 different species of birds are recorded in this enchanting area. At the end of the day we will return to the hospitality of Crow's Nest where you can enjoy a delicious meal.
Day 4
SIPI : JINJA
Time for some relaxing before we leave the Karimojong plains behind us and head towards Jinja. Arriving in this beautiful, calm city we will visit the Source of the Nile and the challenging Bujagali Falls. Then we proceed to your accommodation. Check in and relax while you enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Nile. Dinner and overnight at Adrift Nile High Camp.
Day 5
JINJA
Ready for another day full of adventure? Then start rafting at the source of the Nile. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and thundering rapids of the White Nile. Don't forget to watch the incredible birdlife as you drift quietly between the rapids of the river.
For those who prefer a more peaceful experience of the Nile can also decide to go for a wonderful river journey. Instead of choosing the wildest rapids, we drift swiftly between beautiful forested islands, bounce down smaller rapids and explore the least known channels. After this exciting day we head back to Kampala for the night.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
