Spend Two weeks and half traveling around Uganda to explore all the primates and wildlife with Access Africa Safaris at affordable prices.
Itinerary
Day 1
After your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked and led by our guide to a hotel of your choice in Kampala / Entebbe.
Day 2
Early in the morning after your breakfast, take a speed boat to the Jane Good All Ngamba Chimpanzee Island to view chimpanzees. Return in the afternoon for an overnight in Kampala / Entebbe hotels.
Day 3
At 7.00am, Leave for Murchison Falls Park, and en-route have a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. This is the largest National Park in the country with 3840sq km. The park is a habitant for hippos, buffaloes, elephants, crocodiles, rhinoceros, and a variety of birds such as the shoebill, Bat Hawk, Red-necked Falcon, Denham's Bustard, Senegal Thick-knee, Rock Pranticole, Secretary bird, African Skimmer, Egyptian Plover, Beautiful Sunbird, Black-backed Cisticolas, Northern Red Bishop, Heuglin's Francolin, White-rumped seed eater, White-crested Turacos, etc. In the afternoon have a launch cruise down the falls as you descend appreciating the beauty of the scenery. It is here that every drop of water in the Nile River plunges and explodes through a narrow gorge. An incessant thunderous roar combines with an envigorating yet gigantic spray that make smoke without fire to create the most powerful single concentration of water in the world.
Have an over night at Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury), Red Chills (Mid-range and Budget).
Day 4
Wake up early in the morning at around 6.00 am and take a cup of coffee. Drive to the northern part of the park for an early morning game drive in search for giraffes, lions, oribis, Jackson's heartbeest and many other animals. Come back to the lodge for brekfast, relax and have lunch.
In the afternoon have a launch cruise down the falls as you descend appreciating the beauty of the scenery. It is here that every drop of water in the Nile River plunges and explodes through a narrow gorge. An incessant thunderous roar combines with an envigorating yet gigantic spray that make smoke without fire to create the most powerful single concentration of water in the world.
For the physically fit, a hike on the steep cliff for good photographic view of the falls can be organised. Pre-requisites for this hike include hiking boots and a bottle of water.
Have an over night at Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury), Red Chills (Mid-range and Budget).
Day 5
From Murchison Falls National Park, very early in the morning, proceed to Budongo Forest and visit the Kaniyo Pabidi Eco-tourism site- a partnership with the local community. It is a natural forest still in its virgin form characterized with mahohogany, and iron wood trees. Carry out a forest walk with a help of experienced guides viewing the wonderful fauna and flora. Much rare wildlife exist here notably the chimpanzees, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and other species of primates and different bird species.
Have an overnight at Sambiya River Lodge (Mid-range).
Day 6
Early in the morning drive to Kibale National Park and reach there in the evening.
Overnight at Rwenzori View Guest House/Ndali safari Lodge.
Day 7
Early in the morning have breakfast and drive to Kibale forest for chimp tracking and evening walk in Bigodi swamp for primate walks.
Overnight at Rwenzori View Guest House / Rwenzori Traveler's Inn, Fort Portal/Ndali Safari Lodge
Day 8
After breakfast, move to Semliki Valley to view the hot springs and in the evening return to your hotel for an overnight.
Day 9
Leave Fort Portal after breakfast in the morning for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Relax at the Lodge and have your lunch as you prepare for an afternoon chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge.

Day 10
Have a morning nature walk to the Bats Cave -
a home of thousands of bats and reptiles such as pythons feeding on these bats. Return to the lodge for lunch and simming at the Lodge's swimming pool. Afternoon drive to Kazinga Channel for a launch cruise en route enjoying a game drive. A launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel will offer you a chance to view unique wildlife such as a multitude of hippos, Red Forest buffaloes, crocodiles, Giant Forest hog, elephants,etc. drinking water at the channel's banks. Kazinga Channel is a natural magnet for water birds such as Long-tailed Cormorants, Common Squacco Heron, African Fish Eagle, Graeat White and Pink-backed Pelicans, African Jacana, African Wattled Plovers, Malachite and Kingfisher, Black Crake, etc. and, in the vicinity of Mweya, acts as a migrant trap for birds moving along the Albertine Rift such as White-winged Terns, millions of Common Sand Martin and Yellow Wagtail. A number of national rarities have been recorded from the hippo wallows along the Channel including Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Shoveler, Common Teal, Commn Pochard, Mongolian Plover, and Jack Snipe.

Day 11
Have a morning nature walk to the Bats Cave -

Day 12
After an ealy morning breakfast, walk to the park headquaerters for a briefing from from the park guide before tracking the gorillas. If you are lucky you may get a gorilla family in less than an hour. You will be allowed to spend an hour with the gorillas. In the afternoon, move back to the hotel for relaxation and lunch. In the evening go for traditional performances by a group of orphaned children. Return to the lodge for an overnight.
Day 13
After breakfast you can have a community walk in Bwindi villages and attend to cultural performances by the primitive pygmy tribe whose culture and art craft will leave you wondering.
Back to the hotel for an overnight
Day 14
After breakfast, move to Kisoro and take a community walk around the village. The cultural entertainment is worth attending to. Overnight hotel in Kisoro.
Day 15
After breakfast move to Lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest lakes in Africa, take a canoe ride on this beautiful lake and visit the island that once acted as a lepers' asylum in the 1950's. Later in the day transfer to Lake Mburo National Park en route moving through "The Switzerland of Africa".

Day 16
After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo national park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in search for zebras, Impalas, Topis, Warthogs, Buffaloes, birds such as African fit foot, Papyrus bush shrike, etc. After relaxing briefly at the camp then go in a dug out canoe on the lake or have an evening game drive.
An overnight at Mantana Tented Camp (Luxury), UWA Bandas at Rwonyo (budget) on Full Board basis
Day 17
Early in the morning go for a game drive in the park. In the afternoon you will transfer to Kampala.
Day 18
Have breakfast to go for a city ride Kampala and then later you will be transfered to the airport.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
