Itinerary

Day 1

Pickup from Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA/JRO) and transfer to the Arusha Resort Centre Tourist Hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National park for game drives/wildlife viewing tour till lunch time, lunch is picnic in the park. After lunch more gamme drives till SUNSET, Dinner and overnight at the Lodge or Campsite.

Day 3

Get breakfast and depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area-Ngorongoro Crater at Ndutu Plains, drive to Ndutu plains past Ngorongoro Crater for game drives in the plains teeming with hundreds thousands of wildebest. The calving period is between February to May when they start moving to West north of Serengeti and get to Masai Mara in October/November. Continue with game drives until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Campsite/Lodge.

Day 4

Ndutu Area -Serengeti -Seronera Area.
After breakfast drive deep into Serengeti Seronera Area to find the illusive leopard. Lunch is picnic in the wilderness. Game drives in the area. Evening drive to Ndutu Area for Dinner and overnight.

Day 5

NDUTU AREA-NAABI HILLS PLAINS.
Full day migration tour including SUNRISE and SUNSET game drives. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Campsite.

Day 6

NAABI HILLS/KOPJE PLAINS.
Yet another full day in the plains with a visit to the Gol Kopjes plains. A sunrise and sunset game drives is included. Dinner and campsite at the Wilderness Campsite/Lodge.

Day 7

From Serenegti to Olduvai Gorge to Ngorongoro Crater.
SUNRISE game drives start at 06.30 till 09.30 am. After breakfast depart for the Ngorongoro Crater with game drives en-route. Short stop at Olduvai Gorge -A famous Historical site. Dinner and overnight at Simba campsite or Lodge.

Day 8

Ngorongoro Crater Tour.
Early breakfast, descend to the crater by 07.00am for game drives till lunch time. Game drive to discover the hidden secrets of the 'Garden of Eden'. A day for the black Rhinoceros. Evening ascend to the Crater rim. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Campsite.

Day 9

Ngorongoro Crater tour and back Arusha.
After breakfast have morning game drive in the Crater and after lunch drive back to Arusha.While in Ngorongoro you can decide to do optional walking safaris from Crater rim to Olmoti Crater, to Flamingo lake and continue trekking to reach Munge waterfalls via Maasai Villages in their Bomas.Also on your way back to Arusha you pass by Maasai Villages, Cattle markets and so on.
Arrive in Arusha for dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
