Itinerary
Day 1
Maropeng in the Cradle of Humankind, about 1,000 hominid fossils have been discovered, spanning several million years.
The exhibition is self guided, highly interactive and enjoyable, and will engage visitors of all ages.
Some of the exhibition's highlights include: The beginning of the world, the path to humanity, human development, stone tools, control and use of fire, development of language, living with others, peopling the world.
Sterkfontein Caves is a groundbreaking site of dramatic discoveries that changed the way we view humanity and the history of human development.
Declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1999, the new scientific exhibition showcases the finds of hominid fossils: âMrs Plesâ and âLittle Footâ
