Day 1
Whale watching in Cape Town and Hermanus is regarded by the WWF & Greenpeace as being one of the top 3 places in the world to get really close to seeing Whales. Southern Right Whales are the most frequently viewed, with an astonishing 196 Whales being viewed in just ONE day in October 2008. The season runs from June to December. Boat trips are an amazing experience to be floating next to these incredibly inquisitive giants of the sea, which can grow to 18 metres long and weigh up to 80 tons. Hump-backs and Bryde Whales are also occassional sighted. This is a MUST-DO activity.
