Itinerary

Day 1

Kigali : Ruhengeri-Kinigi
Upon arrival at Kanombe Airport, you are met and driven to your hotel. This 2Hrs drive takes you through the beautifully terraced hilly countryside of Rwanda to Ruhengeri the base of trekking and gorilla tracking. Brief stopovers are provided on the way for photography. Day 2

An early morning breakfast is followed by a drive to Kinigi park headquarters for group, guide allocation and briefing. This is followed by a drive to the trailheads where hiking and trekking up the hills to the bamboo zone begins. Hiking, trekking and tracking gorillas may take 2-3 hours. Sight and stay with the Gorillas for one hour. Descend to your hotel for lunch. In the afternoon visit Gisenyi on the Lake Kivu. Overnight Mountain Gorilla Nest Hotel (B/L/D) (This tour of Lake Kivu is only possible if guests finish tracking on time).

Day 3

After breakfast, trek up the mountain for another memorable experience with gorillas. Return to the base hotel for lunch. In the afternoon visit lakes Burela and Ruhondo. Overnight Mountain Gorilla Nest Hotel (B/L/D) (This tour of Lakes is only possible if guests finish tracking on time).

Day 4

After breakfast drive to Kigali. Have a city tour followed by lunch. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for home flight.

This safari is available for those people who wants to visit lots of Rwanda within a short time. Tourism is about interacting witha the locals. To cater for this, the tour gives you an opportunity to visit the local market where you have a chance to talk with the locals as you bargain for your curios. A visit to the genocide memorial of Gisozi allows you to reflect on the causes of genocide and how it can be avoided. it also gives a chance to delve into the history of Rwanda.

The highlight of the tour is the visit to the Gorillas.

The safari allows you also to visits and if you desire spend the night at the lakeside resort of lake Kivu.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
