Itinerary
Day 1
DURBAN : SWAZILAND
Our Mozambique tour sets out from Durban and heads up the beautiful North Coast of Kwazulu Natal. About 3½ hours later we enter Swaziland and about 2 hours later make our way to our first night's stop in the beautiful Ezulwini valley. Our overnight accommodation is a backpackers' lodge in one of Swaziland's National Parks. We have time to take a game drive or an optional activity of horse riding. Supper tonight is eaten around the campfire listening to the sounds of the African night.
Day 2
SWAZILAND
Today we stop at a number of Swaziland's best curio markets and get to see the magical process of glass blowing. After a leisurely lunch and seeing our fill of curios we make our way across Swaziland to our very comfortable accommodation near the Mozambique border. (Breakfast and dinner provided)
Day 3
SWAZILAND : BILENE
An early start finds our Mozambique tour getting thought the border formalities and then past Maputo to Bilene. This beautiful village is situated on a huge lagoon with white sand and aquamarine coloured water. We take a slow cruise on the lake in the late afternoon. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided)
Day 4
BILENE - TORFO
After breakfast our Mozambique tour packs up and travels up the coast to Torfo. Torfo village is right on the beach. We spend the afternoon exploring and booking optional activities for the following day. There are a number of activities to take part in such as quad bikes rides, diving or a boat ride. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided)
Day 5
TORFO
This is a day of leisure in which to indulge in activities of your choice or just chill out on the awesome beach. (Breakfast and lunch provided)
Day 6
TORFO : BURRA
An early start gets us to the local market in Inhimbane to get the freshest catch of the day. We then take a dhow ride on the bay and grab a bite to eat for lunch. A short drive later we arrive at Burra : one of my favourite places in Mozambique! Tonight we eat out in one of the local restaurants. (Breakfast provided)
Day 7
BURRA : MAPUTO
This vibrant city has a lot to offer and we spend the afternoon at the Maputo fish market and in general sightseeing of the city. Dinner tonight is cooked for us at the fish market. (Breakfast and lunch provided)
Day 8
MAPUTO
You have today at leisure to stroll around this large city or take a boat trip to Inhaca Island or visit Maputo's largest craft market. (Breakfast provided)
Day 9
MAPUTO - DURBAN
We wave farewell to Mozambique and head back into South Africa, making our way through Swaziland and down the North Coast of Kwazulu Natal to Durban. If time permits we have one last drink together. (Breakfast provided)
Extra Information
- Extras -
- There is no camping involved in a Moztours' Mozambique safari. I want you to relax and soak up the natural beauty of the country, not bother with putting up tents and doing camp chores. To enable as many people as possible to be able to experience this amazing country I have kept costs down by utilising backpacker accommodation. Most of the resorts that our tours stay at, however, do have other types of accommodation available should any of our guests wish to upgrade The meals that are included in the tour are simple, wholesome and filling. Where meals are not provided my guests have the opportunity to try the local delicacies and awesome seafood.
I am very flexible with both the itinerary, accommodation and food options. Should you wish to make changes please feel free to ask and if you book eight or more people I can tailor make the tour to your exact needs.I am really passionate about Mozambique and take pleasure in introducing this wonderful African country to visitors. Come and join a Mozambique safari - you won't be sorry!

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
