Itinerary

Day 1

Depart from Johannesburg by luxury midi-bus and travel to the Kruger Park. En route visit the Mpumalanga Highlands (Scenic waterfalls and God's Window). Overnight in the Park. Dinner is Included.

Day 2

After Breakfast we depart from our overnight location and leisurely travel southward through the Park to exit and enter into Mozambique. We travel to Maputo for a quick sightseeing tour and then to our overnight accommodation just outside Maputo for dinner and a comfortable bed.

Day 3

After breakfast an early start for a leisurely drive to Inhambane and then onward to the Barra Reef where we will stay in a 3-Star Lodge right on the beach. Dinner is included.

Day 4

A leisurely day of relaxation on the beautiful coast: sunbathing, strolls on the beach, scuba diving or snorkelling and many other activities. In the afternoon we take in some scenic drives or do some sightseeing. Breakfast and dinner is included.

Day 5

A leisurely day of relaxation on the beautiful coast: sunbathing, strolls on the beach, scuba diving or snorkelling and many other activities. In the afternoon we take in some scenic drives or do some sightseeing. Breakfast and dinner is included.

Day 6

A leisurely day of relaxation on the beautiful coast: sunbathing, strolls on the beach, scuba diving or snorkelling and many other activities. In the afternoon we take in some scenic drives or do some sightseeing. Breakfast and dinner is included.

Day 7

After our early breakfast we depart for Maputo to our overnight accommodation for dinner and a good sleep.

Day 8

An early breakfast and we on our way back to Johannesburg for a late afternoon arrival.

Extra Information

Inclusions -
A morning or afternoon trip in the bay on a fishing Dhow.
Exclusions -
All activities will be at the client's expense but can either be pre-arranged or on site.
Extras -
The tour is designed to be leisurely and hassle free. Individual requirements will be met as far as possible and the group members may decide which of the program they wish to partake or not.
The organised activities available on the Reef are scuba diving or snorkelling on 14 Reefs varying between 10 and 30 metres (PADI registered operators); quad bike trips, horse riding, paddle skis, deep sea fishing, and many more.
The tour group will constitute a minimum of 8 members and a maximum of 10. Smaller groups can be accommodated but this may influence the pricing.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
