Itinerary
Day 1
Bamako - PM Upon arrival at Bamako Senou airport, you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2
Bamako-Segou - AM After breakfast, we explore Bamako City: panoramic overview of the city from Point G, the national Museum, the city market, the artisans and antiquarys' villages where sculptors, weavers, leather workers, jewelers and metal workers exhibit your wares and skills. PM After lunch drive to Ségou at 235km, one of Mali's largest cities and former colonial administrative center; admire the beautiful Sudanese-style colonial architecture, traditional weavers and other artisans; see the tomb of King Biton Coulibaly; wander along the Niger river to visit mud clothes (Bogolan) fabric. Overnight in Ségou. Includes (D)
Day 3
Segou-Mopti - After breakfast, short visit of Segou (visit Sekoro village meaning âthe old Ségouâ, local brewery, Sudanese-style colonial architecture). Depart to Mopti, stop and lunch in San, Bobo capital city. PM Arrive San, overnight in Mopti. Includes (D)
Day 4
Mopti-Tombouctu - AM After breakfast, drive to the legendary Timbuktu via Douentzan, lunch en route. PM Arrive Timbuktu, check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Timbuktu
Day 5
Timbuktu - AM Breakfast then Timbuktu city tour ( the mosques, the old city, explorers houses, the manuscript center), lunch in Timbuktu. PM Camel ride to visit Tuareg camp, dinner and overnight in Timbuktu
Day 6
Timbuktu-Mopti - AM Depart Timbuktu to Mopti. PM Arrive Mopti and check into your hotel, dinner and overnight in Mopti. Includes (L)
Day 7
Mopti-Djenne - AM Depart Mopti to Djenné, arrive Djenne, installation and tour of Djenné city: the famous big mosque, coranic schools etc);overnight in Djenné. Includes (D)
Day 8
Djenne-Sanhgha - AM Breakfast then short tour of Djenne market; after lunch drive to Dogon country via Songho a Dogon village, reknown for its rock paintings and circumcision grotto. PM Arrive Sangha, installation at the campement, dinner and overnight in Sangha
Day 9
Sangha - AM Dogon villages visit, have lunch in a village. PM Return to Sangha, overnight in Sangha. Includes (D)
Day 10
Sangha-Segou - AM Depart Sangha to Ségou, stop and have lunch in San. PM Arrive Ségou, installation, dinner and overnight in Ségou
Day 11
Segou-Bamako - AM Cruise on the river to visit a Bambara village named (Kalabougou) known for its pottery. Lunch in Ségou. PM Drive to Bamako, once arrived you will get ready for your home departure
