Day 1

Antananrivo

۰ Arrival to Ivato airport.

۰ Quick tour of the town of Antananarivo and Transfer to hotel

Day 2

- On road to AntsirabeE – « Ville D’Eau »

۰ Breakfast at Antanananarivo

۰ On road to the south , first stage at Antisirabe after crossing the typical landscape of the high trays (traditional houses made of red terra, conifers, eucalyptus…)

۰ Halt at Antisirabe , « the water town » known for its lake of craters, its falls and its thermal station; and also for its underground minerals (semi-precious gemstones). Then Cap to the west of Antsirabe: Andraikiba (7km) Ttritriva (lake of crater), Antafofo (waterfall at 2km from Betafo)

Day 3

On road to Ambositra – « Ville Des Roses»

۰ After breakfast , taking road to Ambositra« the roses town »

۰ Lunch at Aambositra (in the restaurant chosen by the customer, expenses supported by the customer)

۰ Discovering the local handicrafts of the Zafimaniry, pottery, marquetry, sculptures on rosewood – visiting and shopping local arts and crafts and gemstones after lunch

Day 4

At Ranomfana – « Visiting National Park »

۰ One full day at the national park of Ranomafana

۰ Meeting very rare fauna and flora species existing at Madagascar

« Sahamalaotra » tour: Primary forest with characteristic plantations (palms, orchids). Lemurs and other mammals; historic and cultural sites. Special observation of birds
- Mantella baroni. Possibility to camp - self-guided visit and nocturnal visit.

Day 5

To Fianarantsoa and Ambalavao- Making of Antemoro Papers- Night at Finarantsoa Town

۰ On road to Fianarantsoa

۰ Tour of the town

۰ Lunch at Fianarantsoa (supported by customer)

۰ Departure to Ambalavao in beginning of afternoon

۰ Visiting the making of « Antemoro » paper (Malagasy papers made with fibers of local woods and natural flowers. This paper is very colorful and decorative.)

Day 6

- To Ranohira (Or Isalo)

۰ Departure to Ranohira Isalo. Another landscape appears like Western with cactus, canyons and rocks (….it’s rather desert).

۰ Half board and lodging at Isalo

۰ Beginning the Visit of the National Park of Isalo: “Namaza” tour (the falls of the nymphs).

Day 7

National Park Ranohira

۰ Visiting the national park

۰ The morning: window and wolf of Isalo, botanic garden and flora(cactus, aloes,pachipodium,..), the natural swimming pool

۰ The after noon: canyons and the royal tombs of the Mahafaly.

Day 8

Going to Tulear - Ifaty

۰ On road to Tuléar, going across the south landscape and reaching the seaside. Quick tour of the town. Then 28 Km later, reaching beach of Ifaty.

۰ Half board and lodging at Tulear (end of guiding and using 4X4)

Day 9

Tulear - Ifaty

۰ Half board and lodging – enjoying the calm and serenity of the place.

Day 10

۰ Another day of serenity in front of Mozambican Canal, under the sunshine of the Capricorn Tropic.

Flight to Antananarivo
