Being a ten day safari the trip will take to Mt Kenya National park, famous for the great Mt Kenya, the highest mountain in Kenya,Samburu National Reserve, a unique reserve with wildlife species rarely found elsewhere else such as the Reticulated Giraffe, Lake Nakuru National park, one of Kenya's captivating rhino sanctuaries, Lake Naivasha National park, then finally to the Maasai Mara, Africa's greatest wildlife reserve, and finally end up in Amboseli National park, located at the foot of
Africa's highest mountain. You will stay in camps and travel in a 4x4 tour
minibus.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival- Nairobi
Shortly upon arrival, you will be met and welcomed by your tour manager who will brief you of your safari, thereafter transfer you to a city hotel for
lunch and overnight stay (Assuming you will arrive with the morning flight) After lunch you will have there rest of the afternoon at leisure, where you
can enjoy the hotel's facilities; an array of African Continental, French and Italian cuisine, swimming pool, 2 squash and tennis courts, fitness
Health Club which includes an aerobic studio, Jacuzzis, steam room, gymnasium and sauna, not forgetting the Cats, nightclub if you like to enjoy
a night out.
All meals and overnight stay at Meridian Court Hotel or similar.
Day 2
Nairobi- Mt Kenya National Park
After breakfast, you will depart the hotel for Mt Kenya National park in the Central Highlands, home to the majestic Mt. Kenya, via Thika where you will
have a brief stop over to view the spectacular Chania Falls, then proceed with the journey reaching in time for lunch at the Valley View Hotel in
Embu, thus arriving late afternoon. Proceed for a late afternoon game viewing and nature walks at the lodge with the aid of a guide till dusk.
The local communities surrounding Mount Kenya are mainly the Gikuyu, Meru, Embu and Maasai. The Gikuyu communities believe that their God lived on
Mount Kenya when he came down from the sky, and that the mountain was God's throne on earth, dominate the southern and western sides of the mountain and
are mainly agriculturalists in nature favored by the highly fertile volcanic soil on the lower slopes. The Meru communities dominate the East and North
of the Mountain, and are known to keep livestock. The Embu people like the Gikuyu believe that the mountain home of their God and dominate the windward
side of the Mountain. The renowned Maasai thrive in the northern side of the mountain ideal for grazing their cattle and believe their ancestors came
down the mountain at the beginning of time; thus all the communities believe that Mount Kenya is Sacred.

Day 3
Mt Kenya- Samburu National Park
Pre-breakfast game viewing drives, after breakfast proceed to Samburu National Park, with lunch en-route thus arriving late afternoon. Go for an
afternoon game viewing drive.
In addition to Kamunyak, the renowned lioness famous for adopting oryx calves, Samburu National Park boasts of some several species which are considered unique to the region, including its unique dry-country animal life: All three big cats, Lion, Cheetah and Leopard, can be found here, as well as Elephants, Buffalos and Hippos. Other mammals frequently seen in the park include Gerenuk, Grant's Gazelle, Kirk's Dik-dik, Impala, Waterbuck, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx and Reticulated Giraffe. Rhinos are no longer present in the park due to heavy poaching. There are over 350 species of bird which include Somali Ostrich, Kingfisher, Sunbird, Bee-eater, Marabou Stork, Tawny Eagle, Bateleur, Guinea fowl and Vultures. The Uaso Nyiro River contains large numbers of the Nile crocodile.

Day 4
Samburu National Park
Full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drive spend the whole day exploring the slopes of Samburu. An optional visit to Samburu villages can be arranged with our driver guide onboard.
The Samburu People are semi-nomadic pastoralists with amazing cultures; their dressing to start with is fascinating, they dress in very traditional
clothing of bright red material used like a skirt and multi-beaded necklaces, bracelets and earrings, especially when living away from the big cities. Following closely is their special relationship with cattle, sheep, camels and goats thus milk is their main course, and at times mix it with blood, however, meat is only resigned to special occasions, the Samburu, whose language is also called Samburu, are known to make soups from roots and barks and eat vegetables if they grow within their vicinity.

Day 5
Samburu National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park
Before dawn we head out in search of Africa's wild cats, after breakfast drive down to Lake Nakuru National Park, with a brief stop over at Nyaburufu
Falls, where you will have a picnic lunch, arriving in the afternoon. Go for an afternoon game viewing drive.
Millions of fuchsia pink flamingoes dominate Lake Nakuru National Park, as well as the fish eating pelicans and over 450 other species of birds. The
lake is renowned as the most extraordinary bird spectacle in the world. Thousands of both little grebes and white winged black terns are frequently
seen as well as avocets, ducks, stilts and the migrant waders during winter in the northern arctic. However visitors to the Lake Nakuru may also catch a
glimpse of Thomson gazelles, impala, waterbucks, giraffes, buffaloes or even black rhino. Lake Nakuru National Park is a park that consists of various
habitat such as the dying out euphorbia forest, the yellow barked habitat, the savanna like habitat as well as the lake itself.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Guest house or similar.
Day 6
Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha National Park Pre-breakfast morning game drive which will include going up to the Baboon cliff, return to the lodge for breakfast, then depart Lake Nakuru for Lake Naivasha National Park, as you enjoy the scenic view of Mount Longonot, stopping for lunch in Naivasha Town, thus arriving in the afternoon, proceed for a game viewing drive.
Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake located in Naivasha town, abundant in a diversity of over 400 species of bird life. The lake is unique as it has to other lakes in its vicinity; lakes Oloide and Sonachi (which is a crater lake) and there is a game sanctuary that nears this lake. Joy Adamson, the author of 'born free', 'living free', and 'died free', who used to live on the shores of the lake in the mid 1960's. There is occurrence of sudden storms at the lake. This occurrence of these sudden storms gave the lake its name, Naiposha, a local Maasai word meaning sudden storms.
All meals and overnight at Fisherman's Campsite or similar.
Day 7
Lake Naivasha National Park- Maasai Mara Game Reserve.After breakfast transfer to the Maasai Mara with lunch en-route arriving late in the afternoon, go for an afternoon game drive till dusk.
Dinner and overnight at Big Time Camp or similar.
Day 8
Maasai Mara.
Today spend a full day viewing and exploring the magnificent and scenic game reserve, where you may have the chance to see all the big five in addition
to the numerous bird life found in the reserve. You will then stop for an early picnic lunch at the Mara River and proceed with the drive till dusk. Alternatively, you may take a nature walk in the surrounding hills with a Maasai Moran in the afternoon.
The Mara reserve is quite a place to be, as it offers out of the ordinary adventure, from the crafty hyenas, which may be heard laughing at night to the variety of wildlife species facilitative of its diverse fauna, as well as an abundance of crocodiles and hippos in the Mara River. The banks of the rivers are covered in thick forest which is gradually makes way for bush and grassland thus the excellent availability of food for the diverse wildlife.
Dinner and overnight at Big Time Camp or similar.
Day 9
Day 9:Maasai Mara.
Early breakfast followed by a morning game viewing drive within the reserve with packed lunch. After lunch, go for a visit to the Maasai villages for a
while, where you will be able to see and learn their various cultures and their special relationship with wildlife at the Mara and how they co-exist coupled with song and dance. After the visit, go for a late afternoon game drive till dusk.
The Maasai some of whom share the Mara Region are a semi-nomadic cattle rearing community with a fascinating culture who regard themselves not just
as residents of this area but that they are as much a part of the life of the land as the land is part of their lives. Being nomads, their life-style
depend entirely on cattle thus their special relationship with cattle. Traditionally, the Maasai rarely hunt and living alongside wildlife in
harmony is an important part of their beliefs. Lions and Wildebeest play as important a role in their cultural beliefs as their own herds of cattle.
This unique co-existence of man and wildlife makes this Maasai land one of the world's most unique wilderness regions.

Day 10
Day 10: Maasai Mara- Nairobi - Departure.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight to your next destination.
