Day 1

Day one & Two

Nairobi To Samburu 2 nights

If you arrive into Nairobi during the day then i suggest that you begin your safari immidiatley and drive to Samburu or if you arrive later i suggest you spend the night in nairobi.

Check in at the lodge in time for lunch if you arrive in the morning and after proceed for the first of your game drives along the semi-deserted scorched lava plains.Some of Kenya's rarer species like the long-necked gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx and blue-shanked Somali ostrich can be seen here. Because of the sheer rarity and beauty of the rugged terrain I suggest that you spend two nights here

Day 2

Samburu is a dry landscape but it definatley one of kenyas best parks , home to rare bird and antelope species the park itself is reminiscent of times long gone. Enjoy exploring this park looking out for its vast array of wildlife and birds.

Day 3

Depart Smaburu after a hearty breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru National park is home to the Pink flamingo one a good day you can see upto a million lesser and greater of the flamingo family. Lake Nakuru also offers a wide variety of animals such as warthog, waterbuck and large numbers of impala. Other slightly shyer residents include buffalo, Rothschild giraffe, eland, lion, leopard and black rhino. It goes without saying that this lush environment is most definitely a bird watchers paradise.

Day 4

Your best chance at seeing a leopard is here in Lake Nakuru the shy Loepard is never very far its like a shadow watching over you but one that is invisible to you. Lets see if you spot it.

Day 5

Depart after brekafast for Mt. Elgon.

Unspoilt and as it was thousands of years ago this volcanic mountain presents the world untamed beauty in its rare beautiful birds thick lush forest with leoprards the largest of the worlds wild hogs hundreds of forest elephant and forest buffallo.

The finest of the kenyan moors lead your way to a series of caves sacred to the masai and true Kenyan culture.

The Caves provide a spectacle of elephants going underground to the rich salt rocks amazing

Day 6

This is the only park in the country where elephants will venture undergroud and srtach the salt rich rock which gives out a crying sound thus giving the elephant of this area the name of the crying elephants.

Day 7

Deaprt after breakfast for Masai Mara . Masai Mara is by far Kenya's most famous of national parks, the long yellow savannah shimmering in the afternoon sun allowing the great cats to blend in with their surroundings. The flat plains provide the best chances of excellent photography, here in the Mara you will have the chance to view the ruminants of the huge herds of wildebeest remaining after the great migration,huge herds of elephant, cheetah,giraffe and many, many birds of prey. Masai mara is truly the best of Kenya as far as game viewing, photography and the chance of seeing a kill.

Day 8

Explore more of the Masai Maras splendour with the option of a balloon safari ending in a champagne breakfast in the bush that dennis finch hatton would have been proud of.

Day 9

Return to Nairobi
