Board your International flight bound for Nairobi, Kenya.

Day 2

Nairobi
Welcome to Nairobi, the city in the sun. An awaiting ‘Spice' Safari escort accompanies you to the elegant New Stanley Hotel or The Intercontinental Hotel.

Day 3

Nairobi to Amboseli
This morning we drive overland through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephants. Arrive at your Lodge in time for lunch. An afternoon game run is planned. Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro – can be seen from your authentic Amboseli Sopa lodge or Amboseli Serena Lodge or Oltukai Lodge.

Day 4

Explore Amboseli
Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for a 'Spice' game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons.
Optional visit to a Maasai village is planned after breakfast. Midday finds us at our lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, followed by another 'Spice' game drive. Amboseli is home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen. Maasai warriors are famous and are proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. Day 5

Amboseli – Ngorongoro Crater (Tanzania)
The Ngorongoro Crater is our next destination. Along the way we stop at the border between Kenya and Tanzania for customs and immigration, and then continue by road to Arusha town for lunch. After lunch we continue overland and later in the day we check into the magnificent Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. A sumptuous meal and a solid evening's rest after a most remarkable day in Africa.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater—one of the natural wonders of the world. A spectacular game haunt, the 102-square-mile crater is a perfect caldera, one of the largest on earth. Millions of years ago a smoldering volcano collapsed, creating the crater and a home for thousands of animals amidst its many types of vegetation grown and nourished over the centuries. Over 30,000 animals live here: prides of lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah and giraffe, gazelle by the thousands and multitudes of wildebeest. Uniquely beautiful, we will never see its likes again. We spend a memorable morning ensconced in the crater, exploring its breadth and depth. And tonight, as we delight in another luscious meal at this exceptional lodge, we are once again stunned by the beauty of the orange sunset that hovers in the wild African sky, signaling the end to yet another unforgettable day on safari.

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park
This morning we depart Ngorongoro to the Serengeti. Her vast rolling plains spread out before us…the greatest wildlife spectacle in the world offers up views of over three million large animals—elephant, zebra, gazelle, rhino, cheetah and more. Within this huge park a complex ecosystem gives us the opportunity to view every variety of habitation, from the dry south where the grasslands stretch out in a sultry dance with the breeze to the park's centre, a green oasis of open woodlands and thicket. Streams are lined by dense, brilliantly green forests. Weathered domes of granite and gneiss are a favorite retreat of the big cats, a place to rest and to watch the surrounding vegetation for both danger and for prey.
Giraffe browse in small groups among the trees. Bohor reedbuck and waterbuck restrict their travels to the vegetation near the rivers and streams. Great numbers of ostrich, Grant's gazelle, topi, hartebeest, impala and African water buffalo abound. Lion, cheetah, wild dog and hyena! Leopards are seen resting in the trees. No matter what your expectations, you will not fail to be astounded by life in the Serengeti. We have delightful accommodations at Serengeti Sopa Lodge or Serengeti Serena Lodge.

Day 8

Serengeti National Park
We awaken to the sounds of Africa and begin our day with a Bush Walk, affording an intimate and profoundly personal bond to the world of the wild. Our expert naturalist is hard at work, pointing out each individual miracle of the land that we are now a part of.An extensive afternoon game run explores the depths of the deep Serengeti. Everywhere there are animals, monkeys and, yes, birds…but look closely and you will thrill to the huge jungle cats—lion, leopard and cheetah—just watching the world go by. And go by it does. Rhino, gazelle, antelope and massive elephants by the hundreds. Animals in the trees, on the wing, camouflaged in the bush, in rivers and in streams. The adventure of a lifetime.

Day 9

Serengeti National Park- Spekesbay Lodge (Lake Victoria)
Today after breakfast we depart for Speke Bay Lodge. Located on the south-eastern shore of Lake Victoria in Tanzania, it is 9 miles from the Serengeti National Park and is part of Speke Gulf, named after the famous explorer John Hanning Speke, who, in 1858, discovered Lake Victoria to be the source of the Nile. Our mission today is to spend the full day on a game drive exploring the Western corridor of the Serengeti which is has very interesting attractions such as the wildebeest Migration, crocodiles etc.
It is fascinating to see the variety of plains game and predators along the way. We arrive at the Speke Bay Lodge for another superb dinner and dream-laden evening's sleep.

Day 10

Spekesbay Lodge (Lake Victoria) - Maasai Mara Game Reserve
This morning we continue to Maasai Mara - unspoiled savannah that shares with the legendary Serengeti. Around us lies the Africa of your dreams! A country of rolling grasslands, dense thickets and groves of acacia woodland, the Mara is home to an incredible variety of wildlife. Deep forest grows along the Mara River and its tributaries, where many hippos and crocodiles bask lazily in the sunlight. Here we find the largest population of lions in Africa, carefully watched by their neighbors, the stunning Coke's hartebeest, large herds of topi and the stately African buffalo. Black rhino are also to be found. Huge herds of elephant often block the roads. Glorious creatures are everywhere— it is difficult to decide where to look first! This is also the home of the Maasai people. The Maasai guarding his cattle is an enduring and proud figure across the plains of East Africa. Livestock represents status, wealth and livelihood to these ancient people. The bright smiles and warmth of the tribe once considered among the fiercest warriors on earth will surely win your heart. As will your accommodations tonight at the utterly glorious Mara Sopa Lodge or Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 11

Maasai Mara
Today we see the Mara not only from the ground, but from the air, if we opt to take an early morning hot air balloon ride. You will drift serenely over the great herds as birds of prey swoop past. Elephants and giraffe cast a curious glance your way. The beauty of the wilderness as seen from the early morning African sky is an unparalleled experience. Upon our descent, a sumptuous champagne breakfast is served on
the plains that you just so recently observed from your perch high above.
This afternoon an extensive game run is planned. The sheer enormity of the Maasai Mara offers endless opportunities for excitement. As the warmth of the African day gives way to the cool of evening, we experience a rare peace and beauty, and find ourselves as one with the land and her inhabitants.

Day 12

Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park
Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park after breakfast at your lodge arriving at Lake Nakuru Lion hill in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed on a ‘Spice' Game Drive. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird's species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. You may also spot White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.Dinner and overnight at Lion hill Lodge.

Day 13

Lake Nakuru National Park – Samburu Game Reserve
This morning, head north to the Samburu Game Reserve, a wild and little-visited region, well known for spectacular scenery and wildlife not found in the south: Somali ostrich, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk gazelle. You may also see a variety of other wildlife, including elephant and cheetah. Exciting game runs are planned throughout your stay. You will overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge or Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day 14

Samburu
Today, explore new areas of the reserve on early morning and afternoon game runs. The Uaso Nyiro River, which cuts through the semi-arid landscape, provides an oasis for a variety of game, and the wildlife around the lodge is abundant. You will have ample time to swim at the pool and relax.

Day 15

Samburu Game Reserve – Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary
This morning we drive from Samburu proceeding south, driving through the quintessential town of Isiolo to Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp. Sweetwaters land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. We visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens! In fact Sweetwaters boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Moreover, the camp has its own private waterhole and saltlick so we'll be guaranteed unprecedented close encounters. Day 16

Sweetwaters - Nairobi – Depart
Absorb the beautiful surroundings during morning bush drive. Return to the camp for breakfast and conduct another mid morning drive before lunch at the camp. You are also in for a real treat on your final night in Nairobi. You will dine at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant. Its heart is the barbeque pit, where an open flame roasts a wide variety of familiar and exotic meats – Kenya's finest Molo lamb marinated in garlic, beef, spareribs and chicken wings, as well as crocodile and ostrich, to name just a few. The meats arrive tableside on giant metal spears and are carved at your table. After dinner we transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight.

Day 17

Europe
We connect our home bound flight in Europe already nostalgic for those serene days on safari.
