Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi National Park
In the morning, you will be met by the Tour Guide who will welcome you and brief you about your safari before departing to Nairobi National Park for a 4 hour excursion. You will spend the morning exploring the extensive Park, which is full of deep river valleys and gorges, diverse habitats, rolling grassy plains, riverine woodlands, dense thickets, rocky gorges, man-made dams and pools, and also looking out for a variety of wild animals such as the lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo, crocodile, monkey and giraffe amongst other animal species. After the excursion, the driver/guide will transfer you back to your hotel.

Nairobi National Park is the only park located within a City. It was established in 1946 and was the first National Park in Kenya. It is located approximately 7 kilometers south of the centre of Nairobi, Kenya's capital city, with only a fence separating the park's wildlife from the metropolis. Nairobi's skyscrapers can be seen from the park. Indeed, the proximity of urban and natural environments has caused conflicts between the animals and local people and threatens animals' migration routes. The 117 km2 Nairobi National Park is unique by being the only protected area in the world with a variety of animals and birds close to a capital city.
