This is a eight days lodge safari into some of the best wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. This trip will start at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after your arrival, taking you through to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, scene of the greatest spectacle of the animal kingdom - the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest. You will be able to see plenty of wildlife varying from Kenya's big five; the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and the cheetah among a host of other different animal species. Afterwards, you will proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, and through the panoramic Rift Valley; the only earth feature observable from space. Then you will enjoy a drive to the luxurious Mombasa Serena beach where you can relax and enjoy a swim at the hotel's pool in the afternoon to cool off from the humid Mombasa weather. You will travel in a private minibus and stay in lodges while on this safari.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival - Nairobi - Maasai Mara
On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our tour manager who will brief you about your safari. You shall then depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve arriving late in the evening. Packed lunch will be served along the way.
The Maasai Mara, now The New 7the wonder of the world and 4th preferred tourist destination in the world is a home to wildlife in such abundance and variety that it is difficult to imagine. The most spectacular event of the natural world takes place here; The annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture while being followed on their heels by the predators of the savanna; lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vulture. It hosts over 450 species of animals which include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.
Dinner and overnight will be at Sopa Lodge or a similar lodge.
Day 2
Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, experience the magical Masai Mara; with a morning and an afternoon Game drive, taking your packed lunch in the drive.
The wildebeests are the most dominant inhabitants of the Masai Mara. Their numbers are estimated in the millions. The great migration starts in July each year when well over one million wildebeest along with large numbers of Thompson's gazelles, zebra and other herbivores migrate from the Serengeti plains in Tanzania to fresh pastures in the north and then back south again in October.
Dinner and overnight will be at Sopa Lodge or a similar lodge.
Day 3
Maasai Mara National Reserve.
You will depart for a visit to the Maasai villages after your breakfast and get to learn about the Maasai culture and way of living. In the afternoon, you will check out of the lodge and depart for Mombasa, where you will enjoy a beach holiday safari. You will arrive in the late evening, be checked in at the beach hotel and afterwards, you may take a plunge into the cool swimming pool to relax.
The Masai are so significant due to their culture. Starting from their dress code, the color red is so significant in that they scare away wild animals as they co-exist with them. They believe that God, Enkai, gave them cattle, therefore they believe that all the cattle belong to them. That's the reason why they have been known due to their cattle rustling. Although the Maasai are known for their nomadic life and cattle keeping, they is a group of agricultural Maasai, known as IL Loikop, are look down upon by the cattle keeping group, the Wakwavi since they believe they are the true Maasais created to keep cattle. A Maasai Homestead (enkang popularly known as the Manyattas) is made from cow dung and wooden sticks from the leleshwa plant. Women are the ones responsible for putting up these magnificent homes. However, a homestead contains several Maasai houses which are surrounded by a fence made also by branches of the leleshwa plant where the herds of goats and cows are confined in during the night hours. There are other Manyattas made far away in the wilderness during their Morans as they prepare their headset, the motonyik, before they return home.
Dinner and overnight will be at Sopa Lodge or a similar lodge.
Day 4
Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park
After enjoying breakfast you will set off to Lake Nakuru National Park and arrive at about lunch time. After having lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive inside the park till evening, in time for your dinner and overnight stay.
Lake Nakuru National Park (188 km²), was created in 1961 around Lake Nakuru, near Nakuru Town. It is best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores. The surface of the shallow lake is often hardly recognizable due to the continually shifting mass of pink flamingoes as far as the eye can see. The number of flamingoes on the lake varies with water and food conditions and the best vantage point is from Baboon Cliff. These millions of flamingoes are seeking for their food in the salty deep green waters of Lake Nakuru. Also of interest is an area of 188 km around the lake fenced off as a sanctuary to protect Rothschild giraffes and black rhinos. The protected area is primarily for birds of which 400 to 500 species can be found here including cormorants and pelicans. However visitors coming into Lake Nakuru may also catch a glimpse of Thomson gazelles, impala, waterbucks, buffaloes or even leopards.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 5
Lake Nakuru
You will enjoy a pre-breakfast flamingo-watching trip at the lake, which is a very memorable experience especially in the early morning. This will be followed by breakfast, and after breakfast, you will depart for a morning and afternoon Game drive with your tour guide.
Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in Central Kenya and is protected by a small Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake's abundance of algae attracts the vast quantity of flamingos that famously lines the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons and other large mammals.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 6
Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi - Mombasa Indiana Beach Hotel
After your breakfast you will immediately depart for Nairobi, from where you will take a flight to Mombasa to enjoy a beach holiday. You will carry a packed lunch and are likely to arrive in the evening. On arrival at the Moi International airport, our tour guide will receive you and transfer you to your beach resort and check you into Indiana Beach Hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 7
Mombasa Indiana Beach Hotel
After breakfast, you can just laze on the beach where the endless white sands give an illusion of being on different place from the rest of humanity. Afterwards, you may get a chance to visit a curio shop in the city and buy some fascinating products like sea shells, ornaments made from beads like necklaces, bracelets e.t.c that will remind you of your stay here when you go back home.
