This is a road safari that will see you observe Kenya's
best of wildlife as well as different species of other animals and plant
life. You will as well get the chance to experience different cultures that
exist in this diverse country. You will go through the Great Rift Valley,
the only earth feature observable from space. You will be able to see
plenty of wildlife varying from Kenya's Big five, the lion, elephant,
rhino, buffalo and the cheetah among a host of other different animal
species
Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi Mara:
After breakfast picked up from the airport by our tour manager, and depart for Masai Mara game reserve, which is commonly known for the 'big five'. It takes about five hours to get there via Narok town. Arrive in time for lunch, then afternoon game drive.
The Masai Mara, now The New 7the wonder of the world and 4th preferred tourist destination in the world is a home to wildlife in such abundance and variety that it is difficult to imagine. The most spectacular event of the natural world takes place here; The annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture while being followed on their heels by the predators of the savanna; lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. It hosts over 450 species of animals which include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.

Day 2
Mara
Pre-breakfast morning game drive which gives you the chance to see animals hunting, thereafter back to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon you can choose to go for game drive or relax by the pool or visit the Masai villages.

Day 3
28th Jul 2009: Mara
Spend the whole day in Masai Mara gamed Reserve which is commonly known for the 'big five'. Early morning game drive before breakfast, after breakfast proceed to the next game drive till lunch time. Later, there will be afternoon game drive.
The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya's wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest's migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals
arriving in July and departing in November.
Dinner and overnight at Mara Springs camp or similar.
Day 4
Mara / Nakuru
After breakfast check out and have an en route game drive as you drive into the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in Nakuru national park in time for lunch.
After lunch proceed for an evening game drive in the park, which has some rare animals like white rhinos and Rothschild giraffes.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or similar.
Day 5
30th Jul 2009: Nakuru/Samburu
Pre-breakfast morning game drive, then proceed to the lake where you have the chance to see the thousands of flamingoes and many more species of
birds. Noon check out for northern Kenya past the Aberdares ranges. Arrive at Samburu National park early in the evening as you have en-route game drive.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or similar.
Day 6
Samburu
Spend the whole day in Samburu slopes which has rare reticulated giraffes and plenty of the family.
Dinner and overnight at Ashnil camp or similar.
Day 7
Samburu
Have game drives in the morning and afternoon coupled with a bush lunch or dinner.
Samburu buffalo springs and Shaba National reserve include in their boundaries all the flora and fauna to be found in the north of Kenya. The dry grassland interspersed with acacias is interrupted from time to time by rich green vegetation, wherever enough water is present. E.g. the banks of the Ewaso nyiro river (with its huge Nile crocodiles) or in marsh regions. This countryside dotted with volcanic peaks offer a sanctuary to a wide variety of animals. These baboons,' reticulate Giraffe's, Elephants,
waterbucks, gerenuks and grevy zebras. Lion and Cheetahs are not quite so common but plenty of leopards can be sighted. There are no longer any
rhinos.

Day 8
Samburu / Aberdares
After breakfast check out drive towards central Kenya where you enjoy fascinating sights of Mt. Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch, and then later a
special transfer is done to the tree Hotel where you will spend your overnight and dinner.
The foothill of the Aberdares national park are covered with huge trees which the higher you go, gradually give way to bamboo forests. From about
3000 meters upwards the landscape consists primary of Alphine moorland, still higher is an area of grassland with form to time giant lobelias presenting and attractive contrast. The rich vegetation of this park is blessed with crystal clear streams, waterfalls and lakes teeming with fish. This means an ideal habitat for a wide variety of mammal and birds although the wild life here is still very shy and the lodges often have to put out
salt - licks to attract the animals. With a bit of luck it is possible to see the "big five" whereas it may be some what more difficult to sight the local black varieties of leopards and servals.

Day 9
Aberdares
Spend the day in leisure watching the elephants at the waterhole and also enjoy what the hotel has to offer.
In the Aberdares you find icy rivers, spectacular waterfalls and rain forests. Here elephants, buffalos and other animals visit you at the
floodlit waterholes of The Ark. Aberdares National Park has a diverse topography that includes icy rivers, spectacular waterfalls and rain forests. The flora and fauna is quite unique and is not found elsewhere in the country, expect on Mount Kenya.
Leopard, elephant, serval, waterbuck, reedbuck, dikdik, rhino and the rare bongo can all be found here. You are sure to see elephants, buffalos and
some other animals at the floodlit waterholes of Treetops Lodge. Birdlife is also plentiful, including the monkey eating crowned eagle.

Day 10
Aberdares / Amboseli
In the morning after breakfast proceed to Nairobi as you enjoy sights of coffee, tea, pineapple plantations. Arrive in Nairobi early in the
afternoon for your lunch then proceed to Amboseli National park arriving in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at Olkanjau Camp or similar.
Day 11
Amboseli
Spend the whole day in Amboseli where you can have a chance to a clear view of the famous mt. Kilimanjaro. The park is famous for the biggest
elephants. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp
Amboseli is renowned for its huge elephant herds. Africa's highest Mountain-Mt Kilimanjaro sits on the upper slopes of Amboseli National park. Mt.
Kilimanjaro snow white peak lies across the border in Tanzania. Seeing the Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early hours of the morning is
quite an experience. For the enthusiastic photographer, animal pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain is quite a thrill.
Apart from the Elephants, Amboseli is a home to; buffalos, black rhinos, zebras, wildebeest and other plain animals.

Day 12
Amboseli
Spend the better part of the day exploring the Reserve in game drives and get a chance to see elephants and giraffes among other wildlife. You can also stand the chance to view the sights of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Amboseli national Park embodies five main wildlife habitats (open plains,acacia woodland, rocky thorn bushes country, swamps and marshlands) and covers part of a Pleistocene lake basin, now dry. Within this basin is a temporary lake, Lake Amboseli, that floods during years of heavy rainfall. Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty -and the landscape is dominated by the towering Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 13
Amboseli / Nairobi
Have a final pre breakfast drive then afterwards depart for Nairobi for your connecting flight to your next destination.
End of safari.
