Itinerary

Day 1

Fly from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar. P.M., city tour of Bahir Dar.

Day 2

After breakfast, drive to the Blue Nile Falls 35km per way and walk to the waterfalls. P.M., boat trip on Lake Tana to the church of Ura-Kidane-Mihiret.

Day 3

Fly from Bahir Dar to Gondar. P.M., visit of the 17th century royal castle compound, the bath of King Fasil and the Church of Debre-Brehan-Selassie. O/n Goha Hotel.

Day 4

Fly from Gondar to Lalibela. P.M., visit of the 1st group of the 11 rock hewn churches. O/n Roha Hotel for two nights.

Day 5

A.M., an excursion by mule to the church of Asheten-Maria or Neakuto Leab. P.M., visit of the 2nd group of the rock hewn churches.

Day 6

Fly from Lalibela to Axum, the holiest sanctuary of Ethiopia. P.M., city tour of Axum. O/n Yeha Hotel.

Day 7

Fly back to Addis Ababa.
