Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1-Be meet by staff of Off-Road Ethiopia Tour and transfer and head to visit the crater lakes of Debre-Zeit. Overnight at Dream Land Hotel which is located by the side of the Lake.
Day 2
Day 2, Addis Ababa
After break fast in the hotel drive back to Addis Ababa and have city tour of Addis Ababa. Overnight Global or Ghion Hotel
Day 3
Day 3, Addis Ababa- Bahir Dar
After break fast take an hour flight in the morning to the city of Bahir Dar, presently acting as the capital for the Amhara people. Bahir Dar is set by the side of Lake Tana at an altitude of 1,830m. above seas level. After transfer to hotel head for boat trip on lake Tana, the biggest Lake in Ethiopia to visit the island monastery of Ura Kidanemheret, which is the most colorful from the nearest available and back to Bahir Dar. En route on the lake visit the meeting place of Lake Tana and Blue Nile River. After lunch break visit the colorful open-air market and head to the breath-taking Blue Nile falls. Overnight Tana Hotel
Day 4
Day 4, Bahir Dar- Gondar
Take break fast and drive to Gondar. Up on arrival check-in and head to explore the 17th century castles of Gondar together with the bathing castle of King Fasilades. Also visit the colorfully decorated church of Debre-Brehan Selassie, the open-air market which is known for its basketry and the Felasha, Ethiopian Jews village. Overnight Goha Hotel
Day 5
Day 5, Gondar- Lalibela Rock-hewn Churches
Have break fast in the hotel and transfer to the Airport for a flight to Lalibela. The whole afternoon is dedicated to explore part of the eleven world-renowned rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, which was carved out of Rock, by King Lalibela in the late 12th century. Overnight Village Tukul Hotel
Day 6
Day 6, Lalibela Rock-hewn Churches
After break fast cover the remaining churches and after lunch finalized the trip by visiting the cave churches of Nakutola'ab. Overnight Village Tukul Hotel
Day 7
Day 7, Lalibela Rock-hewn Churches- Axum
Have a break fast and head to the airport for a flight to Axum. Up on arrival be transferred to Hotel and continue the tour in the Ancient and very historic town of Axum, which has been once a capital for the big Axumite Kingdom. Before lunch cover sites such as St. Mary of Zion church, the first church erected in the land of Ethiopia in the 4th century and which is believed to be repository of the Biblical Arc of the covenant, the stele field where you see different steles including the still erected longest one which measures around 23 meters. Have lunch break and continue the visit to the underground Tomb and palace of King Kaleb and his son Gebre Meskel, stone inscription of King Ezana (4th century), the bath and ruined Palace of queen Sheba and the Archeological museum. Day 8
Day 8, Axum- Addis Ababa and Departure
After break fast in the morning drive to Axum's St. Mary of Zion church to see the colorful morning service and back to the Airport for a flight to Addis Ababa. After lunch in Addis Ababa, have shopping and some free time. In the evening enjoy the traditional dinner and also live traditional dancing show and transfer out to airport for departure back home.
