Itinerary
Day 1
Go Egypt Travel representative will pick you up from your Ship Cruise by air-condition modern van to visit Karnak Temple, This was ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut ("The Most Selected of Places"), the main place of worship of the Theban Triad with Amun as its head, in the monumental city of Thebes. The complex retrieves its current name from the nearby and partly surrounding modern village of el-Karnak, about 3km north of Luxor.Have lunch, then visit Luxor Temple, Known in the Egyptian language as ipet resyt, or "the southern harem", the temple was dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Chons and was built during the New Kingdom, the focus of the annual Opet Festival, in which a cult statue of Amun was paraded down the Nile from nearby Karnak Temple (ipet-isut) to stay there for a while, with his consort Mut, in a celebration of fertility : whence its name. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 2
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy an excursion to visit the West Bank of Luxor, including visits to Valley of the Kings, is a narrow steep-sided valley into the walls and floor of which were cut numerous tombs for the kings of the New Kingdom from Tuthmosis I through to Ramesses. Visit mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, Designed by the architect Senemut, the mortuary temple is dedicated to the sun god Amon-Ra and is located next to the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II, which served both as an inspiration, and later, a quarry. It is considered one of the "incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt. Visit the Colossi of Memnon, (known to locals as el-Colossat, or es-Salamat) which are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. For the past 3400 years (since 1350 BC) they have stood in the Theban necropolis, across the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor. Have lunch, and then drive back to your Cruise in Safaga Port.
