Day 1
Your guide for the day will meet you in the reception of your hotel and transfer you to the West Bank. The day starts with a guided tour of the famous Valley of the Kings that actually has two components - the East Valley and West Valley. It is the East Valley that most tourists visit and where most of the tombs of the New Kingdom Pharaohs are located.
Next is a guided tour of the Valley of the Queens, also known as Biban El Harem. These belonged to the queens of the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties. Then you will have a guided tour of the Queen Hatshepsut Temple located in Deir El Bahariya - one of the most beautiful of the royal mortuary temples. On the way out of the valley, you will stop to view and take pictures of the famous Colossi of Memnon.
Back on the East Bank you will have a guided tour of the Karnak Temples - known to the ancient Egyptians as Iput-Isut, the most honored of places. Karnak is built on a gigantic scale. The temple complex covers a hundred acres and its history spans over thirteen centuries. Next is a guided tour of the Luxor Temple also known as the southern temple, dedicated to Amun. It was known to the ancient Egyptians as Ipet reseyet, the Harem of the south.
At the end of the day, your guide will return you to your hotel.
