Igreja da Ordem Terceira de Sao Francisco das Chagas - Largo da Ordem. This church is the oldest surving building in the city, and it dates back to 1737. It is one of the best examples of Portuguese Portuguese ecclesiastical architecture in southern Brazil. The extirior of the church is rather plain, inside the church it is decorated with Portuguese blue and white tiling and late Baroque altars.
Museu de Arte Sacra - Largo da Ordem. This interesting museum is housed in the Igreja da Ordem Terceira de Sao Francisco das Chagas. It contains a large collection of relics that where found in Curitiba's churches. There are many interesting and ancient items on display in the museum.
Museu de Arte do Parana - Praca Joao Candido. This museum is another excellent place worth visiting when in Curitiba. The museum houses a large collection of works of art by mostly Paranaense artists of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Amici The best Italian food you can get in Curitiba. The restaurant has an intimate atmosphere and smells like great food. The guests are welcome to serve themselves from the salada buffet - which is delicious - and from an open kitchen the cooks will serve you all the pasta dishes with the sauce from your choice.

Curitiba Parks & Gardens
Jardim Botanico - Downtown. The botanical garden is a great place to go and take a break amongst the beauty of nature. Here you can take a relaxing stroll along a number of paths that lead you through a wide range of indeginous plants. The greenhouse is one of the city's most famous landmarks and should not be missed.
Parque Cachoeira - Araucaria. This is another excellent place to go and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park has a lake; is filled with many inndigenous trees and plants; and also has a number of picnic areas where you can sit back and relax. The park also contains the Museu da Mata e Imigracao Polonesa, which is well worth a visit.
Curitiba Restaurants and Bars
Estrela da Terra - 176, Jaime Reis Street. This is one of the best restaurants in town, and it has been very popular with locals and tourists alike for many years. Their speciality is Typical dishes of Paraná. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.(041) 3222-5007
Acrotona - Rua Cruz Machado 408. This is one of the most popular restaurants at lunch time, both with locals and tourists. They serve a wide range of Brazillian dishes, the house speciality being a wide range of interesting soups. This is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat.
Al'Dar - Rua Visconde do Rio Branco 1376. This restaurant is popular with both the locals and tourists, and is a great place to go if you're looking to try something a little different. They serve a wide range of sophisticated Lebanese dishes. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.
Curitiba Bars & Clubs
Bar do Alemao - Claudino dos Santos, 63. This is one of the most popular bars in town, and is frequented by a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. This is a great place to down some beers, meet some people and have some fun.
Crossroads - In the centre of town. This club is one of the best places to go if you're looking to check out some of the local music performers. There are regular performances by local rock bands, usually on the weekend. This is a great place to have some fun and mingle with the locals.
Emporio Sao Francisco - Presidente Carlos Cavalcanti, 1138. This is possibly the best club in town, and is very popular with a younger crowd of locals and tourists. The club hosts live music performances most nights of the week, ranging from rock to blues. This is the place to go to have a fun night out on the town.
