Curitiba Parks & Gardens

Jardim Botanico - Downtown. The botanical garden is a great place to go and take a break amongst the beauty of nature. Here you can take a relaxing stroll along a number of paths that lead you through a wide range of indeginous plants. The greenhouse is one of the city's most famous landmarks and should not be missed.

Parque Cachoeira - Araucaria. This is another excellent place to go and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park has a lake; is filled with many inndigenous trees and plants; and also has a number of picnic areas where you can sit back and relax. The park also contains the Museu da Mata e Imigracao Polonesa, which is well worth a visit.

Al'Dar - Rua Visconde do Rio Branco 1376. This restaurant is popular with both the locals and tourists, and is a great place to go if you're looking to try something a little different. They serve a wide range of sophisticated Lebanese dishes. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

Bar do Alemao - Claudino dos Santos, 63. This is one of the most popular bars in town, and is frequented by a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. This is a great place to down some beers, meet some people and have some fun.

Crossroads - In the centre of town. This club is one of the best places to go if you're looking to check out some of the local music performers. There are regular performances by local rock bands, usually on the weekend. This is a great place to have some fun and mingle with the locals.

Emporio Sao Francisco - Presidente Carlos Cavalcanti, 1138. This is possibly the best club in town, and is very popular with a younger crowd of locals and tourists. The club hosts live music performances most nights of the week, ranging from rock to blues. This is the place to go to have a fun night out on the town.
