Sugarbush is the preferred destination for the middle of the road and expert skier. Lincoln Peak and Mount Ellen are the two areas of skiing. However there are areas for the beginner and the resort offers lessons. There is a sports centre and ice rink to try. Boarders have three parks to have fun in. There are a variety of shops and restaurants in the village, but it's not all -night disco country.
The season is fairly long and they are well equipped with snow making cannons. Queues can happen, but they are rare. |

| Nearby Attractions: Sugarbush is close to Waterbury's attractions and you can't miss Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory tours and tasting or Cold Hollow cider mill gift shop and their tours. You could also tour the Morse Maple Sugar farm at Montpelier. Not the places to go if you are on a diet!! Pop down to Sugarbush farm for homemade cheese and more maple syrup. They have some trails to walk and enjoy the nature and views. Kids love it here and are allowed to pet the animals. |
Aprés-Ski: As night falls everyone heads to The Blue Tooth a social institution in town. Saturday nights mean live music here and there is a pool table. A friendly meeting place. There is also Gallagher’s for live blaring sounds and they also have a pool table.
You won't see a pool table at Mad Mountain Tavern only happy people and of course a great bar..
There are several restaurants, the liveliest being The Back Room at Chez Henri where every night is party night and the food is to be commended too. |
