Located at milepost 62 just 70 miles from Eugene, Willamette Pass is one of Oregons favourite family ski areas. Willamette has some extremly challenging terrain and is perfect for advanced skiers looking for a mountain that is not too over crowded. 20% of the trails on the mountain are for beginners and the 52 dergree RTS to Sleepy Hollow slope is particularly good for those just starting out.

Base Camp on the mountain offers lessons to children as well as day care facilities

Willamette is also great for snowboarders with runs that have good jumps and rugged terrain. The resort is also competitively priced and offers good value for money.

Nearby Attractions: The town of Eugene is where small town charm meets big city panache with a heady mix of cultures and customs. Located along the Willamete and McKenzie rivers, Eugene is perfect for outdoor actvities such as angling, river rafting and picnicing along the banks of the river.

Eugene also has a number of great shops, delicious restaurants, historic bridges and fine wineries in the area. Eugene is not far from the Oregon coast where the warm waters of the Pacfic are a welcome change from the snowy slopes.
Aprés-Ski: After a hard day of skiing, Eugene is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Do a bit of retail therapy at one of the many shops and enjoy some live local music at various venues in Eugene. The town also has some very good restaurants.

Adam's Place located on Broadway is known as Eugene's most romantic restaurant and features a superb menu. Another great place to eat in Eugene is the Big River Grille which offers a fresh and exciting menu with a focus on Pacific Northwest cuisine.

For the best fresh beer brewed on the premises in Eugene, head to the Steelhead Brewing Co. which also serves good pub style food and has a satellite television that broadcasts sports.
