Nestled in the magnificent Siskiyou Mountains, Mt Ashland is a great resort for both skiers and snowboarders. The resort recieves about 300 inches of snow annually and this ensures that there is plenty of snow and sun to enjoy throughout the season.
The people at Mt Ashland are extremly friendly and make visitors feel very welcome. The resort has 23 trails as well as chute skiing, night skiing and snowboarding and all the runs are named after Shakespearean plays and characters such as Much Ado, Romeo and Juliet. |

Nearby Attractions: The town of Ashland has a love affair with Shakespear and not only in the names of its ski slopes but also because it is the home of Oregon's Shakespear Festival. The town has various theatre groups that perform Shakespear and other plays at the Angus Bowmer Theatre, New Theatre and the lovely outdoor Elizabethan Theatre. Another major attraction in Ashford is the state of the art interactive Science Museum that has over 80 hands on exhibits.
There are also various parks in the area such as the Lithia Park that is known as the Jewel of Ashland because of its 2 fountains of Lithia mineral water, japanese garden, playground and tennis courts. Ashland also has 2 wineries, mountain bike routes and 5 golf courses in the area. |
Aprés-Ski: Ashland has some geat night time entertainment at its 3 theatres and a real love of music. Everything from bluegrass and folk to chamber and opera music is performed at various locations in town.
Ashland also has some fantastic restaurants, among them is Amuse that serves dishes that are packed with flavour and Beasy's on the Creek that has an elegant setting with a blazing fire place and serves the best fish and redmeat as well as an unbelievable lobster ravioli. |
