Located on the summit of the Santiam Pass on Highway 20, about 40 miles from Bend, Hoodoo truly is a hidden treasure. Hoodoo has serious expert runs that can be very challenging as well as a variety of trails for all skill levels making it good for the whole family. Hoodoo is also reasonably priced and because it is not yet as popular as some of the more developed ski area's, there are short or no lines.
The staff at Hoodoo is extremly friendly and run a fantastic beginners program for children and adults alike. The Autobahn Tube Park is great fun and has up to 20 runs. Snowboarders are also well catered for at Hoodoo. |

Nearby Attractions: Bend is a lively town with a number of attractions in town and the surrounding areas.Ten miles north of bend is the Petersen Rock Garden which is open 365 days a year and includes a quaint four acre park of miniature bridges, terraces, buildings and towers all made from different types of rock as well as a lily pond, small picnic area and stunning free roaming peacocks. Another nearby attraction is the Reindeer Ranch which is home to over 100 domestic reindeer.
In bend there are a number of shops and galleries and the High Desert Museum that is nationally recognised for its exhibits on high deser history, creatures and cultures. |
Aprés-Ski: Hoodoo has two great day lodges that have a number of facilities such as Nordic and Snowboard Centres as well as an equipment rentl shop, repair shop and ski shop. The day lodges also have a great deli, a Pizza Pub that serves mouthwatering pizza's and well priced drinks and a relaxing bar and lounge area.
The town of bend has a number of shops, cinemas, a gym, galleries and restaurants. For great food and a party atmosphere, try the Upper Castle Keep Lounge and Deck which is a full service bar for those that are 21 years old and over. Upper Deck has a good restaurant and rotating Oregon speciality brews on tap. |
