Laid out over 8 mountains, each of which catering to different ski abilities, with beginners and intermediates getting the biggest slices of the pie, Sunday River Ski Resort is one of the American Skiing Company’s flagship resorts. Boarders have a separate area in which they can learn and ride. With the uncrowded runs, good tuition, and excellent service Sunday River is geared towards families, rather than advanced skiers.
Snowmaking machines take up the slack if the snow is reluctant, and cover over 90% of the runs.
