Nearby Attractions: In nearby Glenwood Springs there are a number of attractions to keep you busy while taking a break from the skiing. A short hike from town will take you to the grave of the legendary gunman and gambler from the Old West – Doc Holliday. The most famous attraction in town is the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool.
This 100-year-old attraction is the largest to be found in the world; here you will find two pools one at 104 degrees and one at 90 degrees. Glenwood Springs is also home to the Glenwood Caverns & Fairy Caves, consistently rated amongst the best in the USA.
Aprés-Ski: Glenwood Springs has a couple of restaurants and pubs worth visiting while in town. The Bayou offers Cajun cuisine at reasonable prices in a relaxed and friendly environment. The restaurant boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding river and mountains. This is a good option for Sunday brunch or dinner; there is also a bar, which opens at 4pm.
